The Challenge

Amazon's Mexico marketplace needs a Sr. PM who can decode customer behavior and turn it into engagement wins. You'll own the full lifecycle—from experiments to automation—working across teams in Spanish and English to scale what works.

Your Mission

First 3 Months
1

Launch 2-3 customer segmentation models for retargeting with measurable lift targets

2

Design and execute experimental testing framework for lifecycle campaigns with clear success metrics

3

Map stakeholder landscape across consumer marketing, category teams, and central teams; establish weekly sync cadence

4

Document current lifecycle engagement gaps and propose 3 pilot initiatives for Q2 launch

By 6 Months
1

Drive 15-25% uplift in repeat purchase rate through lifecycle messaging and onsite improvements

2

Build and scale automation workflows for at least 2 key lifecycle triggers (welcome, win-back, etc.)

3

Establish Mexico-specific best practices playbook; replicate 1-2 winning programs from global peers

4

Own end-to-end product marketing for new shopping behavior initiative; track adoption and repeat purchase impact

KPIs You'll Own

Repeat Purchase Rate

% of customers making 2+ purchases within defined cohort window; primary lever for lifecycle success.

Experiment Velocity

Number of lifecycle hypotheses tested monthly; measure speed and rigor of insights generation.

Is This Role For You?

For You If
  • You've shipped 5+ lifecycle or retention campaigns with measurable uplift (15%+) and can show the data
  • You're fluent in Spanish and English—this isn't optional, it's required for stakeholder collaboration
  • You're obsessed with experimental rigor: design clean tests, call out confounds, and iterate ruthlessly
  • You thrive in matrix orgs and can influence without authority across product, marketing, and technical teams
  • You want to build something global: test locally in Mexico, then scale playbooks across Amazon marketplaces
Won't Work If
  • You're a slides-and-strategy person; this role needs execution bias and hands-on experimentation
  • You can't commit to on-site work in Mexico City or lack bilingual fluency in Spanish/English
  • You need complete autonomy; success here depends on navigating cross-functional influence and central team alignment

Likely includes consumer marketing lead, analytics/data owner, and technical partner. Assess collaboration style and rigor. ~1.5 hours (2-3 rounds).

4

Leadership Interview

Executive alignment on strategic priorities, career ambition, and fit with Amazon Leadership Principles. ~1 hour.
