The Challenge

ABEC is a 50-year-old leader in biopharmaceutical manufacturing equipment. You'll be the bridge between their complex technical products and the biotech buyers who need to understand why ABEC's bioreactors, filtration systems, and fermentation tech beat competitors.

Your Mission

First 3 Months
1

Create 3-5 high-impact product marketing assets (whitepapers, technical presentations, website copy) that clearly articulate ABEC differentiation vs competitors

2

Conduct and document systematic competitive analysis across 5-7 key competitors; deliver findings to Sales and Product teams

3

Develop and deliver product training sessions to Sales and Applications teams for 2-3 core product lines

4

Support 2-3 customer presentations or trade shows with technical content and positioning materials

By 6 Months
1

Build reusable technical toolkits and sales collateral that Sales reports measurably improves win rates and deal velocity

2

Own market share analysis and competitive reporting cadence; establish quarterly benchmarking process

3

Create thought leadership content (case studies, scientific publications, conference presentations) that establishes ABEC as knowledge leader in 2-3 functional areas

4

Identify and pitch 3-5 Continuous Improvement opportunities across Marketing/Sales/Product functions; drive at least one to completion

KPIs You'll Own

Content Output & Quality

Number of marketing assets created monthly (whitepapers, presentations, web content) and downstream usage by Sales/Applications teams.

Competitive Intelligence Timeliness

Frequency and accuracy of competitive analysis reports; tracked by Sales feedback and market share movement.

Sales Enablement Impact

Win rate improvement and deal cycle reduction attributed to product marketing content and technical training delivery.

Training Effectiveness

Sales and Applications team proficiency scores post-training; assessed via quizzes, customer feedback, and presentation quality.

Market Share

ABEC's share in core equipment categories; tracked against competitor offerings and customer adoption rates.

  • You have an engineering or science degree and 2-5 years of technical experience (sales engineering, product marketing, or applications roles preferred)
  • You're strong at translating complex technical features into clear, compelling customer value—whitepapers, presentations, and positioning are your playground
  • You have biotech manufacturing or life sciences industry experience (or adjacent B2B technical selling)
  • You're hands-on, take initiative, and thrive working cross-functionally between Product, Sales, Engineering, and Marketing teams
  • You're curious about competitor moves and enjoy systematic competitive intelligence work

  • You need remote work or flexibility—this is 100% on-site in Bethlehem, PA with required travel
  • You lack technical depth or struggle to learn complex manufacturing/biotech concepts; this role demands credibility with engineers and scientists
