The Challenge
Teknova supplies critical reagents, assay kits, and GMP manufacturing services to biotech and diagnostics companies. You'll own the product marketing strategy across their entire catalog—from market research through campaign execution—reporting directly to leadership in a high-ownership role.
Your Mission
Complete competitive analysis and market segmentation across biotech, pharma, diagnostics, and academic segments; identify 3-5 immediate product gaps
Develop and socialize product roadmap with Commercial, Operations, and Quality teams; prioritize next 2-3 product launches
Launch first go-to-market campaign for existing product line with messaging framework and positioning document
Audit current marketing automation workflows and lead scoring models; recommend optimization roadmap
Execute full GTM for 2+ new products (positioning, messaging, collateral, launch campaign); measure pipeline contribution
Build and optimize multi-channel demand gen engine (paid, owned, earned); establish baseline conversion metrics by segment
Train Commercial team on product positioning and messaging; measure rep adoption and win-rate lift
Establish product portfolio performance dashboard; publish monthly trend analysis and competitive insights

Product Launch Pipeline Contribution
Revenue and qualified leads attributed to new product launches within 12 months of GTM execution.
Campaign Conversion Rate by Segment
Lead-to-qualified-lead conversion rate tracked separately for biotech, pharma, diagnostics, and academic segments.
Marketing Automation Engagement Score
Percentage of leads reaching target engagement threshold; measure trend in lead scoring model accuracy.
Product Roadmap Time-to-Launch
Average time from identified opportunity to product market launch; measure against historical baseline.
Commercial Team Win Rate Lift
Pre/post training comparison of sales closure rate; measure messaging adoption and consistency.

- You've spent 8+ years in product marketing or product management within biotech, diagnostics, or life sciences—and actually understand reagent workflows
- You're comfortable translating complex science for sales, customers, and executives without dumbing it down
- You thrive owning product strategy end-to-end: from market research through campaign measurement and optimization
- You can balance cross-functional stakeholder management (Science, Operations, Sales) with execution speed in a growing company
- You're analytical: you build dashboards, test assumptions, and iterate on campaigns based on data
- You've only done B2C marketing or consumer product launches; B2B life sciences is a different game
- You need remote flexibility; this is strictly on-site
- You prefer a pure execution role; this requires strategic thinking, roadmap development, and stakeholder influence
- You're uncomfortable with long sales cycles and complex scientific storytelling; this market moves slower
