About Road Triip Road Triip is a two-sided marketplace where brands post creative briefs and independent creatives self-shoot ads. Our AI enhances the output so brands get high-quality, authentic ads at scale, without the overhead of a traditional production process. We're pre-launch, seed-funded, and building toward a full launch from our Los Angeles base. This is an early-stage role with high ownership and the opportunity to shape how two distinct communities - brands and creatives - experience Road Triip from day one.

The role

We're looking for a fractional Community Manager to own the relationship between Road Triip and both sides of our marketplace. You'll be the voice of the platform to our creative community and a trusted point of contact for brand partners. This is a part-time role with flexible hours per week, with a clear path to full-time as the company grows post-launch. We're looking for someone who wants to build something from scratch, not inherit someone else's playbook.

What you'll do

  • Build and manage Road Triip's creative community across Discord, Instagram, and other relevant platforms, fostering engagement, trust, and a sense of belonging among independent creatives

Onboard new creatives onto the platform, supporting them through their first briefs and building habits that keep them active and returning

Serve as the first point of contact for creative's questions, feedback, and issues, escalating where needed and closing the loop consistently

Support brand partners in getting the most from the platform, helping them understand the creative community and set realistic expectations for campaigns

Gather and synthesise community feedback to inform product decisions, surfacing patterns and insights to the founding team regularly

  • Create and schedule community content - announcements, spotlights, creatives features, and campaign highlights - that keeps both sides of the marketplace engaged

Identify and cultivate relationships with standout creatives who could become Road Triip ambassadors or priority partners

Attend and host events that promote Road Triip, and bring the highest quality of creatives and brands onto the platform

About you

Ideally 3 to 5 years of community management experience, ideally within a creative platform, DTC brand, or two-sided marketplace. We're happy to explore less experience if that person can show desire to get up to speed quickly

Genuine understanding of the creative economy - you know how creatives think, what motivates them, and what turns them off

Strong written voice: warm, clear, and on-brand without being corporate

Comfortable working autonomously in an early-stage environment with limited process and high ambiguity

Experience managing communities across multiple platforms simultaneously

Bonus: existing network within the LA creatives or brand marketing scene

Compensation

We'll be straightforward with you: Road Triip is pre-revenue and we're not in a position to pay a market rate from day one. What we're looking for is a founding community hire: someone who believes in what we're building and is willing to grow with us under a structured, contractually committed arrangement. Here's exactly what that looks like:

During pre-launch: Deferred pay at an agreed monthly rate, accruing from your start date and documented in a signed agreement

Payment trigger: Full deferred balance paid within 30 days of seed round closing or first revenue milestone, whichever comes first

Equity: Meaningful equity grant reflecting your founding-stage contribution, vesting over 4 years with a 1-year cliff

Post-trigger: Monthly salary paid on a normal cycle, with a clear path to full-time as the team and platform grow
