Head of Marketing – Chery (F/M)
Role Purpose
The Head of Marketing is responsible for defining and executing the brand and marketing strategy in France, ensuring strong market positioning, brand consistency, and business impact.
This role acts as the
brand owner
in the local market, bridging Group strategy and local execution while supporting commercial performance and customer experience excellence.Key Responsibilities
1. Brand Strategy & Positioning
- Define and implement the brand strategy aligned with Group vision and business objectives.
- Establish clear brand positioning, messaging framework, and target audience segmentation.
- Develop a coherent brand architecture across products, channels, and customer touchpoints.
- Ensure differentiation within the competitive European automotive landscape.
2. Brand Identity & Governance
- Define and maintain brand guidelines (visual identity, tone of voice, storytelling).
- Act as the guardian of brand consistency across all internal teams and external partners.
- Ensure local adaptation while preserving global brand integrity.
- Implement governance processes to secure brand compliance across network and communications.
3. Marketing Activation & Communication
- Lead integrated marketing campaigns including product launches, brand awareness, and corporate communication.
- Coordinate digital marketing, PR, social media, events, and content strategy.
- Validate key creative outputs and ensure alignment with brand positioning.
- Drive innovative marketing initiatives adapted to European consumer expectations.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Product, Sales, Dealer Network, After-Sales, and Sales Operations.
- Ensure brand consistency across customer journey and retail experience.
- Contribute to go-to-market strategies and commercial activation plans.
5. Agency & Budget Management
- Select, brief, and manage creative, media, PR, and branding agencies.
- Manage marketing budgets and ensure efficient resource allocation.
- Monitor ROI and campaign effectiveness.
6. Brand Performance & Market Intelligence
- Define and track brand KPIs (awareness, perception, engagement, lead impact).
- Conduct market analysis, consumer insights, and competitive benchmarking.
- Continuously optimize strategy based on performance data and market evolution.
Profile & Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum
10+ years
of solide marketing experience, ideally within automotive or premium consumer brands. - Proven experience in brand building and market launch environments.
- Strong understanding of European market dynamics.
- Experience working in international or multicultural organizations.
- Leadership capability with strong stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent in English; French proficiency required.
