Amazon EU Marketing & Content Director

, you’ll be part of EMEA-ANZ eCommerce team located across the region.

  • Strategic Leadership & Planning
  • Develop, communicate, and execute the regional eCommerce marketing strategy, ensuring alignment with global business objectives and local market needs.
  • Lead the creation of a 3-year vision for eCommerce growth, identifying key blockers, opportunities, and enablers.
  • Co-build strategic plans with senior leadership, product, and commercial teams, ensuring buy-in and resource allocation.
  • Participate in annual and quarterly business planning cycles, providing data-driven recommendations for investment and prioritization.
  • Content Strategy, Governance & Execution
  • Own the end-to-end content strategy, from needs assessment to implementation, ensuring all assets are aligned with brand guidelines and business goals.
  • Oversee the rollout and governance of content management systems (e.g., Salsify), ensuring quality, consistency, and compliance across all markets.
  • Develop and maintain global playbooks, style guides, and execution standards for master content, PDPs, A+ content, and Brand Stores.
  • Partner with the SEO Manager to embed best-in-class SEO principles into all content.
  • Enable and support local markets in content localization, deployment, and optimization.
  • Serve as the primary contact for external content agencies, managing deliverables, issue resolution, and process improvements.
  • Performance Marketing & Channel Management
  • Lead and scale performance marketing across Paid Search, Paid Social, Affiliates, Influencer Marketing, and Marketplaces, managing significant budgets and ensuring ROI.
  • Co-create activation plans with Strategic Account Managers for Amazon and key marketplaces, optimizing for sales and brand visibility.
  • Own the relationship with retail media agencies, ensuring effective collaboration and campaign execution.
  • Oversee the NPI (New Product Introduction) roadmap, driving increased share of sales through innovative launches and go-to-market strategies.
  • Own and manage product pricing strategies for eCommerce channels, ensuring competitiveness, profitability, and alignment with business objectives.
  • Monitor and adjust pricing in response to market trends, competitor actions, and promotional activities.
  • Data-Driven Optimization & Reporting
  • Establish and maintain KPI frameworks to measure eCommerce content and marketing performance across markets and platforms.
  • Work with analytics teams to co-develop, roll out, and drive adoption of dashboards that enable weekly business reviews and data-driven decision-making.
  • Analyze KPIs, shopper behavior, and competitive content to identify improvement opportunities and inform strategy adjustments.
  • Share cross-market learnings and best practices to drive continuous improvement and consistency at scale.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
  • Act as the main point of contact with local marketing leaders and their teams, ensuring alignment and effective execution of eCommerce initiatives.
  • Partner with Brand, Media, Influencer, and Agency teams to integrate content and marketing strategies across all touchpoints.
  • Influence the evolution of regional and local organizational setups, including people, skills, and resources, to address business challenges and secure consistent rollout.
  • Drive adoption of new tools, AI-enabled workflows, and digital ways of working to enhance speed-to-market and operational efficiency.
  • Customer Experience & Transformation
  • Champion a customer-centric approach, ensuring that all eCommerce activities enhance the end-to-end customer experience.
  • Educate and drive adoption by the Senior Leadership Team on eCommerce best practices and key enablers for digital acceleration.
  • Lead organizational transformation initiatives, establishing new ways of working and supporting the transition to a fully digitized business at both regional and local levels.
  • Facilitate ongoing coaching, engagement, and capability building across teams to elevate digital and eCommerce maturity.
  • Governance, Compliance & Best Practice Development
  • Ensure all content, campaigns, and workflows comply with regulatory, legal, and brand standards.
  • Develop and maintain governance structures for content tooling and syndication platforms, managing vendor relationships and platform updates.
  • Support markets in troubleshooting issues with vendors and internal teams, ensuring timely resolution and continuous improvement.
  • Drive adoption and capability building for syndication tools and content systems across teams.
  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement within the eCommerce marketing team and across the organization.
  • Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities to inform strategy and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Pilot and scale new approaches, including AI-driven content creation, modular asset design, and automation for increased efficiency.
