The Challenge

Campsider is a high-growth sports e-commerce startup backed by serious mentors (Salomon, Zalando, HEC). You'll co-pilot acquisition strategy and retention from day one, working directly with founders to scale their community post-funding.

Your Mission

First 3 Months
1

Launch and optimize 3-4 paid acquisition channels (SEA: search, social, shopping) with clean tracking and reporting dashboards

Implement initial email marketing + CRM automation sequences for user activation and post-purchase retention

Audit and improve top 10 landing pages for SEO; publish 4-6 optimized content pieces targeting outdoor/sports keywords

Build a weekly performance dashboard tracking CAC, ROAS, and retention metrics across all channels

By 6 Months
1

Scale proven SEA channels to 2-3x initial performance; achieve target CAC and ROAS benchmarks

Develop and execute 2-3 seasonal promotional campaigns (email + on-site) with measurable lift in repeat purchase rate

Establish SEO baseline; improve organic traffic by 25%+ through content and technical optimizations

4

Document full acquisition playbook and retention strategy for handoff or next hire; mentor team on tools and processes

KPIs You'll Own

CAC (Cost per Acquisition)

Track cost to acquire a customer across SEA, SEO, and promotional channels; optimize toward profitability

ROAS (Return on Ad Spend)

Monitor revenue generated per euro spent on paid campaigns; target 3:1+ minimum

Email Open Rate & CTR

Measure effectiveness of retention sequences; benchmark against 20%+ open rate and 2%+ CTR

Organic Traffic & Rankings

Track SEO improvements: keyword rankings, organic sessions, and conversion rate from organic

Retention Rate (Day 7, Day 30)

Measure % of users returning; directly tied to CRM and activation campaigns
