Teikametrics — “Teika” or ていか means market price in Japanese — was born in CEO Alasdair McLean-Foreman’s Harvard dorm room as repricing software. Alasdair was studying econometrics (the use of math and statistics to describe economic systems) at the same time he had set up as one of Amazon’s first.
