The Challenge
CYGNVS is a purpose-built cyber crisis platform that's hit product-market fit and is scaling aggressively. You'll own positioning and messaging for a complex security product in a crowded market, directly enabling enterprise sales and shaping how CISOs understand incident preparedness.
Your Mission
Define and document core positioning, messaging pillars, and value propositions that differentiate CYGNVS from competitors in the cyber crisis space
Create battlecards and competitive analysis framework that directly improve sales win rates against top 5 competitors
Develop initial sales enablement package: 2-3 case studies, 1 technical white paper, and positioning one-pager for enterprise buyers
Establish baseline competitive intelligence program with monthly market tracking and win/loss analysis
Launch go-to-market strategy for 2+ new product features with supporting content and sales collateral
Build analyst relations strategy and secure coverage with 3+ key cybersecurity analyst firms
Achieve measurable improvement in sales close rates by 15%+ through messaging and competitive intelligence implementation
Train and enable sales team on positioning, battlecards, and competitive differentiation with documented feedback loop

- You've successfully positioned complex B2B security products and can translate technical capabilities into compelling buyer narratives
- You thrive in startup chaos—building positioning, messaging, and enablement frameworks from scratch with limited resources
- You have 5+ years of PMM experience with 2+ years in early-stage startups (Seed-Series C) and understand how to enable scrappy sales teams
- You're obsessed with competitive win/loss analysis and turning field feedback into messaging that directly impacts deal outcomes
- You have cybersecurity domain knowledge or the hunger to become fluent in the space quickly
- You need remote flexibility—this role requires on-site presence in SF Bay Area with frequent in-person meetings
- You're a strategic thinker who waits for perfect data before moving; CYGNVS needs someone who acts fast with 70% clarity
- You lack hands-on writing and content creation skills or expect a large team to execute your vision
