The Challenge

Join a fast-growing AI startup building domain-specific automation for insurance agencies as their founding marketer. You'll own the entire marketing function from day one and help establish this category-defining platform as the leader in enterprise insurance tech.

Your Mission

First 3 Months
1

Define and launch GTM strategy for initial product launch, including positioning, messaging framework, and competitive differentiation in the insurance market

2

Build foundational marketing collateral: case studies, one-pagers, product demos, and sales enablement decks that close enterprise deals

3

Establish marketing ops: set up CRM integration, lead tracking, attribution model, and reporting dashboard to measure pipeline impact

4

Plan and secure sponsorship/speaking slots at 2-3 key insurance industry conferences to build early brand presence and pipeline

By 6 Months
1

Execute full GTM for 2-3 major product releases with integrated campaigns across LinkedIn, email, and direct sales outreach

2

Generate first 50+ qualified leads through product marketing and event activation; measure conversion to pipeline and revenue impact

3

Scale sales enablement: create battle cards, objection handlers, and ROI calculators that improve win rates by 15%+

4

Establish Crossing Hurdles' positioning as domain leader; achieve 80%+ brand awareness among target insurance agency buyers via earned and owned media

Is This Role For You?

For You If
  • You've run end-to-end marketing campaigns (LinkedIn, newsletters, events, sales collateral) and can prove pipeline impact
  • You thrive owning entire functions solo and building systems/processes from 0→1
  • You understand B2B SaaS GTM, enterprise sales cycles, and how to position category-defining products
  • You have domain expertise or genuine curiosity about insurance/financial services verticals
  • You want founder-level exposure, equity upside, and the ability to shape company narrative from day one
Won't Work If
  • You need a large, structured team immediately or prefer hands-off strategic-only roles
  • You're not comfortable with ambiguity, rapid pivots, or wearing multiple hats (product marketing + sales enablement + events)
  • You want a fully remote setup-this is on-site in NYC
  • You lack B2B SaaS or enterprise marketing experience; you'll sink without GTM fundamentals

Interview Process

1

Initial Conversation

Meet with founder to discuss vision, your marketing philosophy, and alignment on category positioning

2

Case Study/Work Sample

Walk through a past campaign you owned (messaging, collateral, results); discuss how you'd approach insurance market GTM

3

Stakeholder Interview

Chat with sales/product lead to assess cross-functional collaboration and GTM thinking

4

Final Offer

Negotiate salary, equity package, and 90-day OKRs
