The Challenge
Wing is scaling drone delivery across two continents as part of Alphabet. You'll architect the performance marketing engine that transitions Wing from experimental spend to a high-efficiency, data-driven growth machine that dominates last-mile logistics.
Your Mission
Audit current performance marketing stack, identify attribution gaps, and build a unified measurement framework connecting performance spend to brand equity and LTV
Secure executive alignment and budget allocation by presenting 3 data-backed business cases tied to B2B and B2C growth milestones with clear ROI projections
Establish baseline CAC, ROAS, and unit economics across all channels (search, social, programmatic) and identify top 2-3 optimization opportunities
Onboard and align internal team and media agency partners on Q1 performance marketing roadmap with weekly cadence on execution and learning
Scale multi-channel performance campaigns with 25-40% improvement in ROAS through systematic testing, creative optimization, and attribution refinement
Build robust internal dashboards and weekly reporting cadence that translates complex analytics into executive narratives driving strategic decisions
Lead cross-functional alignment between Performance, Brand, Product, and Operations to ensure performance campaigns reinforce Wing's market positioning
Establish predictive LTV models that justify long-term performance spend and demonstrate how brand health fuels bottom-line customer acquisition
KPIs You'll Own
Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC)
Target reduction of 15-25% YoY through channel optimization and attribution modeling.
Return on Ad Spend (ROAS)
Achieve 3.5x+ ROAS across paid channels by balancing immediate conversions with brand-building impact.
Lifetime Value (LTV) to CAC Ratio
Maintain 3:1+ ratio to ensure sustainable, profitable growth across B2B and B2C segments.
Attribution-Adjusted Revenue
Track incremental revenue influenced by performance marketing across full funnel, isolating impact from brand spend.
Brand Equity Lift
Measure concurrent uplift in awareness, consideration, and preference as performance campaigns scale.

Is This Role For You?
- You've scaled performance marketing budgets to $10M+ and can defend spend with rigorous attribution and incrementality testing
- You think in full-funnel terms: you know performance metrics don't exist in a vacuum and actively architect how paid acquisition reinforces brand positioning
- You're a translator: you can turn messy analytics into clear narratives for CFOs, CEOs, and non-marketing executives
- You've managed high-performing teams AND complex agency relationships simultaneously without losing strategic control
- You're a 'clicks and conversions only' marketer who views brand as a nice-to-have; Wing requires integration of performance with broader equity building
- You need remote flexibility or can't commit to on-site leadership in Palo Alto; this is a hybrid-leaning role requiring in-person presence
- You haven't managed budgets at scale ($20M+) or led teams of 5+ people through complex cross-functional environments
