Reports to: Ecommerce Manager
*2026 goals: *offboard ads management from agency; we really want someone with Google or Microsoft ad campaigns with larger budgets ($20k+); integrate well with the team, self starter, analytical minded!
The Paid Media Specialist is responsible for driving profitable ecommerce growth through the planning, execution, and optimization of paid advertising campaigns across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Amazon Ads and other channels. This role owns the day-to-day performance, budget management, and optimization strategy, and reporting with a strong focus on revenue, ROAS, and spend efficiency.
The ideal candidate is highly analytical, hands-on, and comfortable managing large product catalogs and performance-driven budgets.
Key Responsibilities
Paid Media Strategy & Execution (about 40% of job)
- Own and manage paid media strategy across Google, Microsoft, and Amazon advertising platforms
- Plan, launch, and optimize campaigns across Search, Shopping, Performance Max, and Amazon Sponsored Ads
- Structure campaigns for reach, ROI, and sustainable long-term performance
- Align paid media efforts with ecommerce goals, organic marketing, sale promotions, seasonality, and inventory availability
Budget & Performance Management (about 20% of job)
- Manage monthly and quarterly paid media budgets to hit efficiency and revenue targets
- Optimize bids, budgets, and targeting to meet or exceed ROAS and CPA goals
- Monitor performance daily and respond quickly to trends, anomalies, or inefficiencies
- Make data-driven recommendations on spend allocation and scaling opportunities
Optimization & Testing (about 15% of job)
- Conduct ongoing keyword research, search term analysis, and negative keyword management
- Test and refine bidding strategies, audiences, creatives, and ad formats
- Run structured A/B tests to improve CTR, conversion rate, and overall profitability
- Identify underperforming products, keywords, and campaigns and take corrective action
Product Feed & Marketplace Optimization (about 15% of job)
- Partner with ecommerce team to optimize product feeds for shopping and marketplaces
- Help ensure accuracy and competitiveness of product titles, pricing, availability, and attributes
- Optimize Amazon campaigns at the keyword, search term, and ASIN level
- Align advertising efforts with product launches and promotional calendars
Analytics, Reporting & Insights (about 10% of job)
- Ensure accurate conversion tracking and attribution across platforms
- Analyze performance using key metrics including ROAS, CPA, CPC, CTR, CVR, and revenue
- Prepare regular performance reports with clear insights and actionable recommendations
- Communicate results, opportunities, and risks to stakeholders in a concise, business-focused manner
Qualifications & Experience
Required
- 3-5 years of hands-on PPC experience in an ecommerce environment
- Proven experience managing budgets across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and/or Amazon Ads
- Strong understanding of performance metrics and ecommerce attribution
- Experience with shopping feeds and large product catalogs
- Advanced analytical skills and comfort working with performance data
Preferred
- Experience advertising for both DTC websites and Amazon marketplaces
- Familiarity with GA4, Google Tag Manager, and feed management tools
- Experience with ecommerce platforms such as Shopify or WooCommerce
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

Pay: $65,000.00 - $78,000.00 per year
