The Challenge
Believe is a 2,000-person global music company that powered 800B+ streams in 2024. You'll own US label and artist partnership sales, driving revenue through complex deal negotiations and competitive market capture in a rapidly consolidating industry.
Your Mission
Map and qualify 20+ priority label prospects across assigned genres/regions; establish initial outreach and discovery calls
Close 2-3 new label partnerships representing $500K+ ARR aligned with margin and portfolio mix targets
Develop deep expertise in assigned market segments using streaming data, competitive analysis, and industry intel
Establish working relationships with Paris HQ, Label Mgmt, Finance, Legal, and Operations teams to standardize deal flow
Hit $2M+ revenue target through new label and artist partnership acquisitions within approved pricing frameworks
Execute 5-7 closed deals representing portfolio growth across priority segments with gross margins meeting company guidelines
Build retention and upsell strategy for existing portfolio; identify 10+ upsell opportunities within current partner base
Contribute market intelligence to Head of Sales on segment shifts, competitive threats, and pricing pressure; refine targeting model

Total annual recurring revenue from newly signed label and artist partnerships against annual quota.
Deal Close Rate
Percentage of qualified prospects converted to signed partnerships within fiscal year.
Average Deal Margin & ROI
Gross margin and return-on-investment performance of closed deals vs. Believe's risk and profitability guidelines.
Portfolio Retention & NRR
Net revenue retention rate for existing label/artist portfolio; upsell velocity and churn prevention.
Segment Market Share Capture
Win rate and competitive displacement within assigned genre/region segments vs. competing distributors.

- You haven't spent time in music industry sales or label/distribution partnerships; adjacent industries won't cut it

- You need a fast commission payout; Believe's deal cycles and onboarding are typically 60-90 days
