The Challenge

Sequoia-backed AI platform hit $14M ARR in under a year. You're their first dedicated growth ops hire-building the entire MarTech stack and operational engine from scratch while scaling alongside a hyper-growth team.

Your Mission

First 3 Months
1

Design and implement HubSpot configuration end-to-end, integrating Default (routing) and Loops (automation) with clean data architecture

Map and document all handoff processes between Growth, Sales, and Engineering; establish lead scoring rules that align teams

Audit and select remaining MarTech stack tools (BI platform, attribution tool, prospecting AI); get all systems talking

4

Build first-pass performance dashboard tracking pipeline velocity, cost-per-qualified-lead, and email engagement across channels

By 6 Months
1

Launch multi-touch attribution model connecting paid, email, and web touchpoints to pipeline and revenue impact

Automate 60%+ of manual prospecting and campaign enrichment workflows using Clay and other AI-driven tools

3

Establish repeatable experimentation cadence with Growth lead-test landing pages, email flows, and nurture sequencing with clear success metrics

4

Scale HubSpot workflows to support 3x pipeline volume while maintaining data hygiene and reducing manual touches by 40%

KPIs You'll Own

Marketing-sourced pipeline (dollars)

Total qualified pipeline generated by demand gen efforts each month, tracked by source and campaign.

Cost per qualified lead

Blended CAC across paid, email, and inbound channels with attribution to first meaningful touchpoint.

Lead-to-opportunity conversion rate

Percentage of MQLs that convert to sales-qualified opportunities within 30 days.

Experimentation velocity

Number of concurrent tests running; success rate of winning variants that get scaled.

Data quality score

Percentage of CRM records with complete required fields; automation error rate in HubSpot workflows.

  • You have 3-9 years B2B SaaS or growth operations experience and live/want to be in SF
  • You're a HubSpot expert who can configure from scratch and manage end-to-end without hand-holding
  • You love systems thinking-building scalable workflows and reducing friction through automation and data
  • You thrive in startup chaos and want complete ownership over an entire function from day one
  • You're fluent in spreadsheets, BI tools (Looker/Mode), and GA4-and actually enjoy digging into data
Won't Work If
  • You need visa sponsorship (not available for this role)
  • You're not comfortable working on-site full-time in San Francisco
  • You lack hands-on HubSpot configuration experience-this isn't a high-level ops role, you'll be in the weeds
