The Challenge

BeReal is scaling from 40M MAU to hundreds of millions. You'll lead all growth channels for a viral social app backed by Voodoo, building and commanding a team while competing in the most brutal growth battlefield: social media.

Your Mission

First 3 Months
1

Map current growth funnel by channel, identify top 3 biggest levers, establish baseline metrics for paid UA, organic, and product-led growth

Build and onboard your growth team (3+ people) with clear OKRs and accountability structures

3

Launch one major paid user acquisition campaign across iOS/Android with target CAC and payback period

4

Establish weekly growth review cadence with CEO and Voodoo central team, surfacing top insights and blockers

By 6 Months
1

Achieve month-over-month user growth targets (specific % TBD with CEO) across all channels combined

2

Optimize unit economics: reduce CAC by 20%+ while maintaining LTV ratios through channel performance analysis

3

Scale proven channels: expand paid UA to new geos, grow organic/viral coefficient through product-led initiatives

4

Launch 2-3 innovative growth activations (partnerships, influencer campaigns, offline events, community-driven growth) tested and validated

KPIs You'll Own

Monthly Active Users (MAU) Growth Rate

Track month-over-month and year-over-year % growth, your north star metric.

Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) by Channel

Measure cost-per-install and cost-per-active-user across paid, organic, and alternative channels.

Lifetime Value (LTV) & LTV:CAC Ratio

Ensure unit economics are healthy; target 3:1+ ratio for sustainable growth.

Channel Performance & Attribution

Weekly dashboard tracking conversion rates, retention, and ROI for each growth lever.

App Store Ranking & ASO Metrics

Monitor keyword rankings, review sentiment, and download velocity in top markets.
