The Challenge

Stride-up's CRM unit is scaling fast after wins in Paid, Creative, and SEO. You're taking the helm of a structured but growing operation—tasked with building it into an indispensable agency pillar while owning P&L, team development, and client performance across premium brands.

Your Mission

First 3 Months
1

Audit existing CRM client portfolio: document performance gaps, identify quick-win optimization opportunities (segmentation, deliverability, personalization), and present findings to leadership

Stabilize and mentor the current team on Klaviyo, Braze, HubSpot best practices; establish weekly performance reviews tied to Open Rate, CTR, and Conversion KPIs

Develop the CRM service offering roadmap: map AI-powered automation opportunities, define tiered service packages, and create sales collateral for new client acquisition

Establish BU P&L framework: forecast revenue targets, cost structure, and profitability milestones for the next 12 months

By 6 Months
1

Land 3-5 new strategic client accounts through audits and RFP responses; grow CRM revenue by 25-35% YoY

Build a scalable team structure: hire or upskill 1-2 additional CRM specialists focused on deliverability and segmentation

Deploy AI-assisted workflows: integrate GenAI for email copy generation, subject line testing, and segment analysis to reduce manual work by 20%

Establish industry thought leadership: publish 4-6 CRM case studies, host webinars, and position Stride-up as the agency CRM authority in French market

CRM BU Revenue & Gross Margin

Track monthly and quarterly revenue growth, project profitability, and margin targets vs. industry benchmarks

Client Campaign Performance

Monitor aggregate Open Rates, Click-Through Rates, Conversion Rates, and Revenue-per-Email across portfolio

Team Efficiency & Capacity

Measure billable hours, project turnaround time, and team utilization to optimize operations and hiring needs

Client Retention & NPS

Track retention rate, churn, and Net Promoter Score to ensure account health and identify upsell opportunities

Email Deliverability & Compliance

Monitor bounce rates, spam complaints, authentication (SPF/DKIM/DMARC) health, and regulatory compliance across clients

Is This Role For You?

For You If
  • You have 6+ years of CRM/email experience with at least 2-3 years managing teams in an agency setting
  • You're fluent in Klaviyo (or Braze/HubSpot) and understand deliverability, segmentation, and personalization inside out
  • You're comfortable building and scaling a P&L-owned business unit—blending strategy with hands-on execution
  • You integrate AI into daily workflows and strategic thinking; you're not intimidated by new tools, you're eager to adopt them
  • You love mentoring and see team growth as rewarding as client wins; you're a teacher and builder, not just a doer
Won't Work If
  • You need hands-off leadership—this role is hands-on, technical, and operationally demanding from day one
  • You're looking for a pure IC role; you must own management, P&L, and BU strategy
  • You lack agency experience or have only worked in-house; agency pace, client juggling, and sales-driven culture won't suit you
  • You're risk-averse or uncomfortable with ambiguous situations; scaling a BU means navigating unknowns and pivoting fast
