To support this ambition, we are looking for an

Audience & Subscriptions Growth Manager

to accelerate its development.


Your mission

Your role will be to help grow and engage our international audience, and convert it into subscribers, by combining data analysis, editorial understanding, and growth initiatives tailored to global markets, in close coordination with editorial, audience, product, marketing and subscription teams.


Reporting to the audience team, you will play a central role in coordinating and supporting the growth strategy of Le Monde in English across teams and markets.


Key responsibilities

1. Audience growth & performance monitoring

  • Contribute to the growth of Le Monde in English audiences across international markets, in close collaboration with our audience, product and marketing teams.
  • Deploy a targeted organic and paid activation plan to increase audience reach and improve engagement, building on audience and usage data to guide priorities and actions.
  • Leverage audience analyses, performance monitoring and insights produced by audience teams to identify growth opportunities, distribution experiments and emerging platforms or uses relevant to international audiences.
  • Work jointly with audience teams to turn these insights into actionable recommendations and support the development of new acquisition and engagement initiatives.
  • Contribute to international visibility and audience development through cross-functional growth projects and market-specific initiatives.


2. Subscription growth & conversion

  • Analyze user journeys and conversion funnels to identify friction points and growth levers
  • Contribute to the design and optimization of subscription offers tailored to international audiences.
  • Test and implement initiatives to improve conversion and retention
  • Develop and execute market-specific strategies to grow subscriptions across target regions


3. Data-driven growth & experimentation

  • Use analytics tools (Amplitude, Piano, etc.) to understand user behavior and performance
  • Implement a test-and-learn approach to continuously improve audience and subscription metrics
  • Identify emerging trends and opportunities in international media consumption


4. Partnerships & growth development

  • Identify and develop relevant partnerships (media, platforms, institutions) to support audience and subscription growth
  • Contribute to the deployment and optimization of existing partnerships
  • Ensure partnerships are aligned with performance objectives and contribute effectively to growth


Candidate profile

  • 2-5 years of experience in digital media, growth, or audience development
  • Strong analytical mindset, with the ability to turn data into actionable insights
  • Deep understanding of the U.S. media market and its audience dynamics
  • Strong interest in audience development and subscription-based business models
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with editorial, audience, and product teams
  • Creative and proactive, with a strong appetite for testing new ideas
  • Native or fluent English required; working proficiency in French expected
