The Challenge

High-performance hair care brand scaling DTC with clean botanical positioning needs a Marketing Manager who speaks fluent Meta, TikTok, and Google. You'll own the full digital growth engine-from paid media optimization to retention strategy-reporting to a founder-led team that moves fast and obsesses over ROAS.

Your Mission

First 3 Months
1

Audit current paid media performance across Meta, TikTok, Google, and Pinterest; identify top 3 optimization opportunities and implement testing framework

Own daily/weekly performance dashboards and reporting; establish baseline CAC, ROAS, and MER by channel with clear forecasting model

Brief creative team on performance insights; launch 2-3 high-potential campaign concepts with A/B testing plan

4

Map full funnel strategy with wider marketing team; identify gaps in awareness, acquisition, conversion, and retention workflows

By 6 Months
1

Achieve 15-20% improvement in blended ROAS through optimized media mix and creative testing across channels

2

Scale top-performing channels by 25-30% while maintaining or improving CAC efficiency

3

Build and execute retention program (email, SMS, affiliate) targeting 10%+ lift in repeat purchase rate

4

Deliver quarterly insights report on competitive landscape, consumer behavior trends, and DTC benchmarks in beauty; inform product and positioning roadmap

ROAS (Return on Ad Spend)

Track blended ROAS across paid channels; target improvement through optimization and creative iteration.

CAC (Customer Acquisition Cost)

Monitor cost-per-acquisition by channel; ensure efficiency gains as volume scales.

MER (Marketing Efficiency Ratio)

Global marketing efficiency; measure revenue generated per dollar spent across all channels.

Repeat Purchase Rate & LTV

Own retention metrics; track repeat customer rate and lifetime value improvement quarter-over-quarter.

Campaign A/B Test Win Rate

Percentage of tests run across ads, landing pages, email, SMS that beat control and drive insights.
