The Challenge

Canva is scaling fast and needs someone to build its commercial partnership engine in Brazil from scratch. You'll own everything from strategy to execution across telcos, fintechs, and marketplaces—turning local ecosystem knowledge into high-impact, revenue-generating deals.

Your Mission

First 3 Months
1

Map and prioritize the top 20-30 strategic partnership targets across telcos, fintechs, marketplaces, and SMB ecosystems with clear scoring criteria

2

Close 2-3 pilot partnerships with signed LOIs and defined activation timelines

3

Design and lock in commercial models, KPI frameworks, and reporting cadence for partnership tracking

4

Establish working relationships with cross-functional leads (Marketing, Growth, Product) and define joint GTM playbook template

By 6 Months
1

Activate 3-5 live partnerships delivering measurable MAU or revenue impact (track month-over-month growth per partner)

Build a repeatable partnership sourcing and negotiation playbook tailored to Brazilian market dynamics

Deliver $XXX-$XXX in net new revenue or equivalent user growth through partnership channels

4

Translate local market insights into 2-3 strategic inputs for Canva's global 'Truly Local' strategy

Is This Role For You?

For You If
  • You've closed 7+ partnership deals that moved real growth metrics (MAU, revenue) and can prove the impact
  • You're fluent in Portuguese AND English and deeply wired into Brazil's fintech/telco/marketplace ecosystem
  • You think in loops not sprints—you design partnerships for retention and expansion, not just launch spikes
  • You can move fast in ambiguity, build reporting frameworks on the fly, and sell internally without formal authority
Won't Work If
  • You need a fully remote setup or can't commit to on-site work in São Paulo
  • Your partnership track record is mostly deal-closing without demonstrable growth impact or you can't model commercial outcomes
  • You don't speak Portuguese fluently or lack hands-on knowledge of the Brazilian startup/fintech/telco landscape
