The Product Marketing Specialist, Retail, Payments & Deposit Strategies is responsible for executing marketing initiatives that drive awareness, engagement, acquisition and retention across the organization’s retail banking, payments and deposit product portfolio.

This role serves as a central point of coordination for marketing initiatives supporting retail banking, payments and deposit products. The Product Marketing Specialist partners closely with stakeholders across the organization to identify promotional needs, translate business priorities into actionable campaigns, coordinate resources, monitor performance and ensure initiatives move efficiently from concept through execution and optimization.

Essential Responsibilities

Product Marketing Strategy & Planning, Partner with Retail and cross-functional stakeholders to identify marketing needs and develop promotional strategies for retail banking, payments and deposit products. Support the development of annual marketing plans, product promotion calendars and campaign strategies. Assist in developing and refining product positioning, messaging and value propositions for target audiences. Conduct market research and monitor competitor activity, consumer trends and industry best practices to identify growth opportunities.

Campaign Execution & Project Management, Coordinate and execute marketing campaigns that support product launches, enhancements, promotions and strategic initiatives. Manage campaign workflows, timelines, approvals and deliverables to ensure projects are completed accurately and on schedule. Collaborate with internal and external creative resources to develop marketing assets, review and approve creative concepts and ensure alignment with brand standards and business objectives. Assess marketing resource needs and partner with stakeholders to prioritize campaign support and allocate marketing assets based on business objectives and strategic priorities.

Channel Management & Marketing Operations, Oversee marketing asset placement across multiple channels, including digital, branch, email, social media, website, direct mail and paid advertising. Ensure campaigns executed consistently across all channels are aligned with the overall member experience. Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely and effective campaign delivery.

Performance Analysis & Optimization, Review campaign performance, lead generation, conversion metrics and product growth trends to identify performance patterns and opportunities. Interpret product and campaign performance data to inform recommendations when goals are not being met. Communicate campaign insights, performance outcomes and recommendations to leadership and key stakeholders as needed.

Compliance & Governance, Ensure all marketing materials comply with applicable regulatory requirements, brand standards and internal policies. Maintain accurate campaign documentation, approvals and supporting materials in accordance with organizational standards and record retention requirements. Partner with stakeholders as needed, to ensure timely review and approval of marketing materials.

Knowledge & Skills

Experience:Two to three years of experience in marketing, product marketing, campaign management or a related field required. Experience within a financial institution, credit union or banking environment preferred. Product marketing experience, including campaign execution and performance analysis, preferred. Experience working cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders and managing competing priorities.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field preferred.

Interpersonal Skills: Build strong, collaborative relationships across departments and effectively partner with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey ideas, recommendations and project updates. Effectively influence and gain buy-in from cross-functional partners without direct reporting authority.

Other Skills: Strong project management and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of retail banking and deposit products, consumer behavior and member acquisition strategies preferred. Self-motivated with a proactive, collaborative and results-oriented approach.
