The Challenge

You'll be the first product marketer at a voice AI startup launching a no-code agent platform for SMBs. This is a true 0→1 role where you build positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategy from scratch alongside founders and the GTM lead.

Your Mission

First 3 Months
1

Complete 20+ user interviews with target SMB customers to validate positioning and identify key use cases for bookings, reservations, and support automation

2

Ship foundational PMM assets: product knowledge base, help documentation, FAQ, and onboarding guides that enable self-serve customer education

3

Develop and test 3-5 demo videos and use case content showcasing platform capabilities with script, production, and editing completed in-house

4

Execute Product Hunt launch with external agency: brief creatives, review deliverables, lock timeline, and coordinate day-of coordination for maximum lift

By 6 Months
1

Establish repeatable user feedback loop connecting customer insights directly to product roadmap prioritization with monthly feedback reports to product team

2

Refine and validate core messaging pillars and value propositions based on real customer response; create positioning document used across all marketing channels

3

Build and activate influencer/KOL partnerships: identify 5-10 relevant voices in AI/automation space, coordinate content creation, and track campaign performance

4

Document learnings and playbooks from launch phase to scale PMM function: create replicable templates for positioning, demos, and partner management for future hires

Is This Role For You?

For You If
  • You've built product marketing from scratch at a SaaS or AI startup and want to do it again with founder-level autonomy
  • You're comfortable being on camera and creating demo videos-you can script, record, and edit or manage production end-to-end
  • You thrive in 0→1 environments where ambiguity is high and you define the roadmap as you execute
  • You've conducted meaningful user research and translated insights into positioning and messaging that moves metrics
  • You're based in or familiar with the SF Bay Area startup ecosystem and understand the Product Hunt and AI/voice AI communities
Won't Work If
  • You need a stable permanent role; this is an intentional 3-month contract with conversion possible but not guaranteed
  • You prefer to hand off execution to agencies or teammates; this role is hands-on across writing, video, and project management
  • You've never launched a product or worked in early-stage environments; you'll be defining best practices in real-time without much structure

Interview Process

1

Initial Screening

Conversation with Head of GTM to assess PMM background, startup experience, and hands-on execution mentality.

2

Deep Dive Interview

Walk through a past 0→1 PMM project: user research approach, messaging development, and how you validated positioning.

3

Founder Conversation

Meet with founder(s) to discuss product vision, customer problems, and your approach to building the PMM function.

4

Portfolio & Demo Review

Share examples of demo videos you've created or produced, positioning documents, and customer research synthesis work.
