The Challenge

Zeno Group is scaling its Technology Communications practice on the West Coast. You'll build the portfolio, lead client strategy, and grow a world-class tech PR team while staying hands-on with the biggest accounts.

Your Mission

First 3 Months
1

Map the West Coast tech landscape and identify 15-20 qualified new business prospects across emerging sectors (AI, climate tech, fintech)

Conduct 30+ client discovery calls with existing tech portfolio to identify expansion opportunities and cross-sell capabilities

3

Co-lead 3+ winning new business pitches with U.S. Head of Technology Communications

4

Establish yourself as thought leader: secure 2 speaking engagements or panel slots at major West Coast tech/PR events

By 6 Months
1

Close $2M+ in new annual revenue through new client acquisition and account expansion

Build and implement differentiated service offering for Technology practice leveraging Zeno's IP and thought leadership

3

Develop and mentor 2-3 high-potential tech team members with clear growth paths and training plans

4

Establish quarterly business review cadence with top 10 clients; achieve 95%+ retention and NPS >70

Internal client satisfaction and service delivery ratings; target 90%+ on integrated projects.

Team Development Velocity

Number of promotions, external placements, and skills certifications completed by your team annually.

Thought Leadership Impact

Speaking engagements, media mentions, and IP-driven pitches that differentiate Zeno in market.

  • You've spent 12+ years in tech PR or communications, with proven success scaling client relationships and new business
  • You're equally comfortable in the boardroom and rolling up your sleeves on campaign execution—no task is beneath you
  • You have deep knowledge of technology sectors (SaaS, AI, fintech, climate tech, enterprise) and understand their communications challenges
  • You're a mentor who genuinely invests in developing people and building high-performing teams
  • You thrive in West Coast tech ecosystem and have existing relationships or passion for building them
Won't Work If
  • You want remote flexibility—this is strictly on-site in Redwood City
  • You're looking for a pure client services role; this requires 30%+ new business development and selling
  • You lack hands-on PR experience or haven't managed integrated campaigns that moved client metrics
