The Challenge

The World Economic Forum's Centre for Urban Transformation is scaling its influence across business, government, and civil society to reshape local economies globally. You'll lead growth strategy and executive relationships to deepen impact and drive membership retention at the highest levels.

Your Mission

First 3 Months
1

Develop and socialize a comprehensive growth and engagement strategy aligned with the Centre's institutional priorities and regional expansion plans

2

Map and audit current C-suite relationships (CEOs, CPOs, CSOs) across industries to identify retention risks and expansion opportunities

3

Establish cadence and framework for executive engagement touchpoints, including quarterly strategy sessions and peer roundtables

4

Onboard and align the Growth and Engagement team on revised priorities, performance metrics, and 12-month roadmap

By 6 Months
1

Execute 3-4 flagship executive convenings or cohort experiences that drive measurable engagement lift and membership retention

2

Build repeatable playbook for regional CEO relationship management with documented conversion and upsell metrics

3

Launch cross-Centre collaboration framework that unlocks 2-3 joint initiatives with complementary Forum centres

4

Deliver first comprehensive dashboard tracking executive relationship health, engagement velocity, and revenue impact

Executive Relationship Retention Rate

% of C-suite members retained/renewed annually, tracked by seniority level and industry vertical.

New Executive Engagement Pipeline

Number of qualified CEO/CPO prospects sourced, qualified, and moved into formal engagement programs per quarter.

Event/Initiative Attendance & NPS

Attendance rates and net promoter scores from executive convenings, roundtables, and strategic initiatives.

Cross-Centre Revenue Attribution

Dollar value or membership expansion tied to collaborative initiatives with other Forum centres.

Is This Role For You?

For You If
  • You've built and scaled executive engagement or membership programs at enterprise/association level with real revenue accountability
  • You're comfortable navigating C-suite politics and can build trust with CEOs and chief corporate affairs officers quickly
  • You have 10+ years of growth leadership experience and can move between strategy, relationship management, and execution
  • You're energized by impact-driven work and can articulate business case for social/economic transformation initiatives
Won't Work If
  • You need full remote flexibility—this requires 3 days/week in NYC
  • You're uncomfortable with nonprofit/NGO operating models or mission-driven structures
  • You've only worked in consumer marketing or pure B2B SaaS sales—this requires navigating complex stakeholder ecosystems
