The Challenge

UTMB Group owns the world's largest trail running circuit with 60+ events globally. You'll own the CRM strategy for their UTMB World Series—managing databases, orchestrating email campaigns, and tracking performance metrics across multiple geographies and languages for a passionate athletic community.

Your Mission

First 3 Months
1

Launch and execute 3-4 multi-language email campaigns targeting different runner segments; achieve baseline open/click rate benchmarks

Map and document the customer journey for new and returning UTMB World Series participants

Build 5+ reusable email templates optimized for different audience personas and geographies

4

Establish weekly KPI reporting dashboard tracking opens, clicks, engagement, and acquisition metrics

By 6 Months
1

Develop and execute integrated CRM activation plan; increase email engagement rate by 15% YoY

2

Launch and manage 2+ contest/gamification campaigns via Qualifio; track performance and ROI

3

Conduct competitive CRM/email marketing benchmark analysis; present 3+ improvement recommendations

4

Support live event activations (2-3 weekends); measure digital engagement lift during events

KPIs You'll Own

Email Open Rate

Track open rates by segment, geography, and campaign type to optimize send times and subject lines.

Click-Through Rate (CTR)

Monitor CTR on all email campaigns to measure content relevance and call-to-action effectiveness.

Campaign Conversion Rate

Measure percentage of email recipients converting to event registrations or desired actions.

Subscriber Engagement Score

Track overall engagement across campaigns to identify at-risk segments and re-engagement opportunities.

Acquisition Cost per Subscriber

Calculate cost efficiency of email-driven acquisition campaigns by geography and runner segment.

For You If
  • You're currently in or completing a BAC+4/5 program with digital marketing specialization (or strong interest)
  • You live in or are relocable to Annecy and want on-site immersion in a growing sports marketing brand
  • You're fluent in English and comfortable managing multi-language campaigns across geographies
  • You're proactive, data-driven, and excited to own real CRM campaigns from build to analysis
Won't Work If
  • You need full remote work or flexibility—this is 100% on-site in Annecy plus 2-3 weekends/year at events
  • You don't have hands-on experience or strong appetite for email marketing, CRM tools, or marketing analytics
  • You're looking for a permanent role—this is a 1-year alternance contract (ideal for students)
