The Challenge

SIG Partners is a $290M+ acquisition machine that needs you to architect and scale a cold email operation from 800K to 1M sends per month. You'll own the entire deliverability stack—infrastructure, list hygiene, sequences, reporting—and report directly to the CMO.

Your Mission

First 3 Months
1

Stand up domain and mailbox provisioning pipeline; achieve 95%+ deliverability across all sending domains within 60 days

2

Implement weekly list hygiene process (deduplication, suppression management, QA) aligned to campaign cadence

3

Build and deploy 4-6 initial email sequences in SmartLead with baseline A/B testing framework

4

Deliver weekly deliverability and performance reports tracking sends, opens, replies, bounces, and spam metrics

By 6 Months
1

Sustain 1M+ cold emails per month at 95%+ deliverability with zero manual bottlenecks in domain/mailbox rotation

2

Establish data quality SLA with AI Engineer; flag and resolve upstream list issues; reduce bounce rate by 15%

3

Run minimum 12 A/B tests across subject lines, send times, copy, and sequence structure; implement winning variants

4

Contribute measurable pipeline value; report on reply-to-qualified-lead conversion; optimize sequence kill/pause criteria

KPIs You'll Own

Deliverability Rate

Maintain inbox placement above 95% across all sending domains; monitor bounce rates, spam traps, and blacklist status weekly.

Send Volume & Capacity

Scale to 1M+ cold emails per month without manual bottlenecks; track domain and mailbox utilization.

Reply Rate & Positive Response %

Measure email reply rates and conversion to qualified pipeline; tie sequence performance to BDR handoff.

Data Quality Score

Track list hygiene metrics—deduplication effectiveness, suppression list accuracy, and upstream issue flagging.

Pipeline Contribution

Connect cold email performance to business development pipeline; measure cost per qualified reply and downstream conversion.

Is This Role For You?

For You If
  • You've scaled email infrastructure or managed high-volume cold email operations; you understand DNS, IP warming, ESP configuration, and deliverability mechanics
  • You're obsessed with data quality and ops rigor; you can build repeatable processes and flag upstream issues without hand-holding
  • You want ownership end-to-end—from domain provisioning through weekly reporting—reporting to a CMO who trusts you to own the channel
  • You thrive in a B2B outbound environment; you see cold email as a scalable, measurable system, not a guessing game
  • You're based in Dallas or willing to relocate; on-site culture matters to this team
Won't Work If
  • You need remote flexibility or can't commit to on-site in Dallas—this role is in-office only
  • You lack hands-on experience with ESP tools (SmartLead, Outreach, etc.) or email infrastructure; this is not a management-only role
  • You expect immediate equity or variable comp; this is a base salary role with no mention of bonus or equity upside
  • You prefer working solo; this role requires tight cross-functional coordination with AI, BDR, and business development teams

Interview Process

1

Initial Screening

Phone screen with CMO or recruiting; confirm on-site availability and review cold email / deliverability experience

2

Technical Deep Dive

Whiteboard or written exercise on email infrastructure design (domains, IP warming, DNS, ESP configuration) at 1M+ scale

3

Cross-Functional Panel

Meet with AI Engineer, BDR lead, and Business Development leadership; discuss list hygiene workflows, reporting, and coordination

4

Case Study / Reference Check

Walk through a recent cold email campaign you've managed; discuss outcomes, A/B testing, and lessons learned
