The Challenge
Marionnaud—Europe's leading luxury beauty distributor with 700+ stores across 8 markets—needs you to transform their paid media strategy. You'll own full-funnel performance across search, social, display, and programmatic while managing multi-market complexity and agency partnerships at scale.
Your Mission
Audit current media spend across 8 markets; identify quick wins and consolidate reporting framework with partner agencies
Define clear performance baselines for CAC, ROAS, CPC by market and channel; establish monthly review cadence
Build stakeholder alignment with Finance, Customer Growth, CRM, and local teams on FY budget allocation and media strategy
Lead first full-funnel strategy workshop with agencies to reset objectives and establish innovation roadmap
Deliver 15-20% ROAS improvement across paid channels through optimization and reallocation of underperforming budgets
Establish real-time performance dashboards tracking CAC, CPC, and funnel metrics by market; automate reporting
Scale winning campaigns across markets; document playbooks and best practices to reduce agency dependency
Mentor internal performance marketing team; complete first recruitment cycle if needed to strengthen capability
KPIs You'll Own
ROAS (Return on Ad Spend)
Primary KPI measuring revenue generated per euro spent on paid media across all channels.
CAC (Customer Acquisition Cost)
Cost to acquire each customer; track by market and channel to optimize budget allocation.
CPC (Cost Per Click)
Average cost per click across paid search and social; indicator of bid efficiency and market competitiveness.
Media Efficiency Ratio
Revenue vs. total media spend; measures overall health of performance marketing engine.
Channel Mix Contribution
Percentage of revenue from paid search, social, display, programmatic, and affiliate; guides reallocation strategy.
