Llama Ventures backs AI founders—and they need sharp narratives to source deals and amplify portfolio wins. You'll be the content engine turning investment theses into Twitter threads, newsletters, and press coverage that actually move the needle.
Your Mission
Launch and own weekly content calendar (Twitter/X, newsletter, blog); establish brand voice across 3+ channels with consistent posting rhythm
Extract and ghostwrite 8-12 high-impact pieces (investment theses, trend analyses, portfolio spotlights) in collaboration with partners
Build email segmentation strategy in CRM; execute first 3 segmented campaigns to founder ecosystem with 25%+ open rates
Support 2 portfolio company launches (press release drafting, pitch narrative refinement, Product Hunt coordination)
Grow social following by 40%+ and achieve 3%+ engagement rate across primary channels; identify top-performing content formats
Establish Llama Ventures as a thought leader in AI/VC narrative space; secure 2-3 external placements (TechCrunch, The Block, industry publications)
Build reusable content templates and brand guidelines; reduce time-to-publish by 30% through process optimization
Scale portfolio support: enable 5+ founders with launch marketing collateral, pitch deck refinement, and go-to-market positioning

Newsletter Open Rate
Track segmented email performance; target 25%+ for founder segment, 20%+ for partner segment.
Social Engagement Rate
Combined likes, replies, retweets, shares across Twitter/X and LinkedIn; target 3%+ on organic posts.
Content Output Velocity
Number of published pieces (blogs, newsletters, social threads) per month; target 12-16 pieces minimum.
Portfolio Launch Support
Number of founders supported with marketing collateral and launch coordination; qualitative feedback on usefulness.
Traffic to Llama Ventures Properties
Monthly organic visitors to blog/newsletter signup; track month-over-month growth.

- You're a strong writer who can distill complex tech concepts into clear, persuasive narratives for a VC audience
- You actually follow AI news, read VC Twitter, and understand the difference between hype and substance
- You love owning end-to-end projects—from research to publishing to performance tracking
- You're energized by storytelling that moves deals, not just vanity metrics
- You have 3-5 years of B2B content, PR, or growth marketing experience (ideally at a VC, startup, or agency)
- You need deep technical AI expertise—this is about narrative and marketing, not machine learning
- You're looking for a fully remote setup; this is on-site in Sunnyvale with occasional evening/weekend event coverage
- You prefer steady-state admin/logistics work; this role demands creativity, speed, and constant iteration
Interview Process
Initial Screen
Conversation about your portfolio, content samples, and familiarity with AI/VC landscape
Writing Task
Ghost-write a short-form piece (Twitter thread or 300-word newsletter excerpt) on an AI trend or investment thesis
Partner Conversation
Meet with an investment partner to discuss content strategy, portfolio support, and how you'd extract their insights
