Head of Marketing

Position Overview

A leading home services organization is seeking a Head of Marketing to lead strategy, execution, and performance across a high-growth, multi-market platform.

This leader will be responsible for scaling and executing a marketing function that drives customer acquisition and lead volume, strengthens brand presence, improves retention, and enhances the overall customer experience across the platform markets.

This is a highly visible, performance and data-driven leadership role for a marketing operator who understands how to connect brand, demand generation, and customer insights directly to revenue, market share, and return on investment.

Compensation: $200,000$250,000 base (DOE) + performance bonus

Why This Role Exists

The company is in a strong growth phase and sees marketing as a critical lever for continued expansion. This role has been created to bring senior-level leadership, stronger strategic alignment, and greater accountability for performance to the marketing function.

The right leader will modernize and elevate the existing marketing capabilities while ensuring every dollar spent is aligned to measurable business outcomes.

What Success Looks Like

In the first 6 months, the Head of Marketing will be expected to:

  • Build and execute a marketing strategy directly tied to company growth and P&L performance
  • Establish clear reporting, forecasting, dashboarding, and testing rhythms

Increase lead volume and improve lead quality while driving stronger efficiency

Strengthen full-funnel marketing performance across channels and markets

Build strong cross-functional alignment with Operations, Finance, and Technology

Key Responsibilities

Senior Leadership & Marketing Strategy

  • Own and lead the overall marketing strategy in alignment with growth goals and market expansion plans, working directly with platform and location leadership

Serve as a data-driven strategic advisor to executive leadership on brand positioning, market opportunities, and competitive dynamics

  • Drive an integrated marketing approach across acquisition, retention, and customer experience

Manage and optimize a marketing budget of $7M+ with strong fiscal discipline and ROI accountability

Demand Generation & Performance Marketing

  • Manage full-funnel digital demand generation strategy across paid search, paid social, SEO, display, CTV, email, and emerging channels

Improve campaign performance across lead generation, conversion, booking rates, and revenue contribution

Strengthen channel attribution, segmentation, reporting, and optimization efforts

Ensure marketing investments are evaluated against clear performance metrics and business impact

Brand Strategy & Customer Experience

  • Manage the platform and location marketing teams to strengthen and evolve the companys brand strategy across multiple markets

Lead integrated campaigns, content initiatives, advertising, and customer-facing brand experiences

Ensure consistency across digital, print, branch-level, and customer touchpoints

Balance centralized brand control with the flexibility needed to execute effectively at the local level

Analytics, Insights & Forecasting

  • Build a stronger consumer-insights capability to inform strategy, messaging, and campaign decisions
  • Own core KPIs, dashboarding, monthly business reviews, and forecasting processes
  • Partner closely with Finance to connect marketing investment to profitability, pipeline quality, and revenue outcomes

Foster a test-and-learn culture rooted in data, experimentation, and continuous improvement

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Partner with Operations and Customer Experience to align marketing initiatives with business needs and market priorities

Support employer brand and recruiting-related marketing initiatives in collaboration with HR as needed

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a data-driven, commercially minded B2C marketing leader who has successfully built and scaled marketing programs in a high-velocity, local-market environment.

This role is best suited for someone who has owned real business outcomes inside an operating company, not someone whose experience is limited to agency-side leadership or brand strategy alone.

Target Background Includes

10+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience, including senior or executive-level responsibility

Home services experience is highly preferred, and multi-location consumer services experience is highly relevant

Proven success leading marketing for a local, consumer-facing service business

Deep expertise in demand generation, performance marketing, and full-funnel optimization

Strong experience managing large budgets and improving marketing efficiency and ROI

High analytical fluency, including attribution, forecasting, experimentation, and KPI management

Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and develop teams while remaining hands-on when needed

Experience in modernizing marketing systems, processes, and reporting infrastructure

Bachelors degree required; MBA preferred

Non-Negotiables

Has owned marketing outcomes inside a business, not just through outside client or vendor relationships

Can speak credibly to marketing performance using metrics

Has partnered closely with cross-functional leaders to drive positive outcomes

Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment

Willing to be both strategic and hands-on

About the Company

This is a well-established, growth-oriented home services company with a strong market presence in multiple locations nationwide and ambitious plans for continued expansion. The organization views marketing as a core growth engine and is making meaningful investments in talent, infrastructure, and performance improvement.

This role offers the opportunity to join a highly visible leadership team and make a direct impact on growth, brand strength, and market position.
