The Challenge

Foley Mansfield is a 110+ attorney national law firm looking to punch above their weight digitally. You'll own their brand presence, web strategy, and content machine while partnering directly with leadership to build thought leadership and market visibility.

Your Mission

First 3 Months
1

Audit and optimize current WordPress site—refresh attorney bios, update practice area descriptions, implement SEO/AEO best practices, and establish content governance workflows

2

Launch and execute a 90-day social media strategy focused on LinkedIn, including content calendar, weekly posts, and analytics baseline

3

Prepare 3-5 award/directory submissions (legal rankings, Best Lawyers, etc.) in collaboration with marketing leadership

4

Create brand asset library (logos, templates, photography guidelines) and establish digital asset management system

By 6 Months
1

Drive measurable website traffic growth (target: 25-40% increase in monthly sessions) through SEO optimization and content strategy

2

Grow LinkedIn following by 50%+ and establish thought leadership pipeline with 2-3 attorneys publishing monthly insights

3

Develop case study/success story content template and produce minimum 4 polished pieces showcasing firm wins

4

Launch integrated PR initiative: secure 2-3 media placements and establish regular press release cadence (bi-weekly minimum)

KPIs You'll Own

Website Traffic & Engagement

Monthly sessions, pages/session, bounce rate, and conversion tracking for key practice areas

Social Media Performance

LinkedIn followers, engagement rate (likes/comments/shares), click-through rate, and audience growth month-over-month

Content Output & Quality

Number of published pieces, average time-to-publish, internal stakeholder feedback scores, and thought leadership attribution

Award/Directory Success Rate

Submissions completed on time, acceptance rate, and visibility gained from rankings and directory placements

Brand Awareness

Organic search impressions, branded keyword rankings, press mentions, and attorney speaking engagement opportunities generated

Is This Role For You?

For You If
  • You have 3+ years of marketing experience (law firm or B2B professional services preferred)
  • You're fluent in WordPress, Canva, and social media platforms—especially LinkedIn
  • You can write and edit copy that's both compelling and technically sound; you care about details
  • You work well independently but thrive collaborating with senior stakeholders and subject matter experts (attorneys)
Won't Work If
  • You need heavy hands-on design work—this is coordinator level, not a design role
  • You can't operate independently or struggle with competing priorities and multiple deadlines
  • You live outside the specified business locations (CA, CO, FL, IL, IN, KS, LA, MI, MN, MO, NY, OR, TX, WI)
  • You lack strong writing/editing chops or WordPress experience

Interview Process

Initial Screening

Phone/video call with HR to confirm fit, location eligibility, and background

Marketing Director Interview

Conversation with your direct manager about strategy vision, team dynamics, and marketing priorities

3

Portfolio & Skills Review

Present work samples (WordPress sites, social content, marketing copy) and discuss your approach to WordPress and LinkedIn strategy

4

Final Round

Meeting with leadership/business development to assess cultural fit and understanding of legal services market
