The Challenge

Fivetran powers the modern data stack for thousands of companies. You'll be the financial strategist bridging data, strategy, and execution—directly influencing how this hypergrowth data platform allocates billions in GTM resources and scales customer acquisition.

Your Mission

First 3 Months
1

Build and validate revenue forecasting model for PLG segment with CMO and PLG head; establish baseline SaaS metrics tracking

2

Audit and map all marketing spend across channels; identify top 3 ROI optimization opportunities with recommendations

3

Create headcount/capacity planning framework for business development org aligned to pipeline and revenue targets

4

Deliver first quarterly business review financial narrative and board-ready GTM performance summary

By 6 Months
1

Own end-to-end marketing funnel financial analysis; implement attribution model to isolate CAC and payback by channel

2

Develop and maintain dynamic financial models quantifying GTM investment tradeoffs; model 2-3 scaling scenarios for board

3

Drive marketing mix modeling analysis across campaigns; present data-driven reallocation recommendations saving 15%+ spend

4

Build trusted advisor relationship with CMO and PLG head; present monthly insights driving 3+ strategic resource decisions

Track customer acquisition cost across digital, PLG, and partner channels to optimize spend allocation

PLG Revenue vs Forecast

Monitor product-led growth revenue attainment against quarterly/annual targets and variance analysis

Marketing ROI by Campaign

Measure return on investment for major marketing initiatives to guide budget reallocation decisions

Sales Pipeline Coverage Ratio

Track pipeline generation to revenue target ratio; inform headcount planning and capacity needs

LTV:CAC Ratio

Monitor lifetime value to customer acquisition cost ratio; ensure unit economics remain healthy at scale

  • You have 6+ years in FP&A, strategic finance, or investment banking supporting GTM/marketing teams
  • You speak fluent SaaS: LTV, CAC, payback period, and PLG unit economics are in your DNA
  • You thrive building financial models that drive real decisions for C-suite executives
  • You're comfortable with ambiguity and can independently prioritize in a high-growth, fast-paced environment
  • You love translating complex data into crisp narratives that influence strategy
Won't Work If
  • You need strict 9-5 remote work with zero office time; this role requires 2 days/week Oakland presence
  • You're primarily an accountant; this role demands strategic financial modeling and business partnership, not transaction processing
  • You lack exposure to SaaS metrics or marketing funnel dynamics; ramp-up will be steep
