About The Digital Marketing Assistant, FLAS Role
Reporting to the Associate Director, Operations, the Digital Marketing Assistant (DMA) will support the creation and delivery of content that increases Humber students’
awareness of the services, support and resources available to them through the Faculty of Liberal Arts & Sciences (FLAS). Specifically, the DMA is responsible for the production, maintenance and distribution of digital media including but not limited to social media, video, photography, graphic design, and website. As part of their role, the DMA will collaborate with fellow media focused work-study students and may also be required to collaborate with internal and external partners.
In addition to the core focus on storytelling through digital media, the position will provide support for digital media requests from across FLAS. During the school year, the DMA will be required to provide videography and photography support across all of Humber’s main campuses (North, Lakeshore, and Downtown).

Education
- The successful candidate will have a 2-year diploma in Digital Marketing, Digital Media or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in content management, digital and print media content creation, photography, video production, and digital media editing.
- Experience managing social media channels including, but not limited to, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
- Strong understanding of website and media analytics and how to implement changes to improve outreach based on analytics.
- Knowledge of how to create ads on Google, Facebook, and Instagram to help promote initiatives and programs within FLAS.
- Expert level skills in Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat; experience with Canva an asset.
- Experience with a content management system (Later preferred).
- Experience with interviewing, sourcing story leads, and presentations will be considered an asset.
- Strong communication, presentation and time management skills.
