Is This Role For You?

For You If
  • You've closed $5M+ deals in loyalty, fintech, or financial services and can navigate C-suite decision-makers
  • You're entrepreneurial: comfortable building a new business unit from scratch with ambiguous briefs and rapid iteration
  • You understand behavioral economics and how non-transactional value (lifestyle, experiences) drives engagement at scale
  • You excel at translating market signals into product strategy and can pressure-test complex financial models
  • You thrive in matrix environments and can mobilize cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Data, Sales) without formal authority
Won't Work If
  • You need a fully formed team and clear playbook; this role is architecting a new vertical from day one
  • You're purely transactional; this requires strategic partnership development, not head-count-based sales
  • You lack experience with complex B2B deal structures, economic modeling, or financial services—the learning curve will be steep
  • You prefer remote work; this is on-site in NYC with C-suite client engagement

Interview Process

1

Screening call

30 min with recruiter: loyalty/fintech background, relevant deal experience, and appetite for building a new vertical

2

Hiring manager conversation

60 min with likely CRO or Chief Commercial Officer: deep dive on previous partnership wins, business model thinking, and how you'd approach lifestyle content positioning

3

Case study / economic modeling exercise

Build a business case for a lifestyle bundle offering targeted at a specific bank segment (Millennials, affluent, SMB owners, etc.); present framework and assumptions

4

C-suite panel

60-90 min with Product, Data, and CEO/COO: vision for the vertical, collaboration style, and how you'd move from strategy to execution

5

Reference calls

2-3 calls with previous C-level stakeholders (banking clients or fintech execs) you've partnered with
