Head of Growth | Venture-Backed AI Startup | 0→1 GTM Ownership | San Francisco

We’re partnering with a well-funded AI startup emerging from stealth that is building technology at the intersection of autonomous AI systems, distributed infrastructure, and applied machine learning. After raising $5.1M in seed funding, the company is now entering its next stage: bringing its AI systems into real-world business environments and scaling adoption.

They’re hiring a Head of Growth to work directly with the founders and build the company’s go-to-market engine from the ground up. This is a hands-on role for a builder who enjoys experimenting with new distribution channels and driving early traction for cutting-edge technology.

What You'll Do

  • Build the growth engine: Design and execute the company’s GTM strategy to convert awareness into paying customers.
  • Own the full growth lifecycle: Launch campaigns across email, paid social, and organic channels. Write copy, set up audience segments, and ship campaigns quickly.
  • Run rapid growth experimentation: Test unconventional distribution strategies and scale what works. Combine proven growth frameworks with creative approaches suited to the AI ecosystem.
  • Own marketing analytics: Build attribution models and dashboards to track performance across channels. Maintain a strong data-driven experimentation process.
  • Manage the marketing stack: Operate and optimize tools across analytics, automation, paid social, and SEO.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in growth or marketing at early-stage startups (0→1 or 1→10)
  • Experience marketing frontier technology products, ideally in AI or machine learning
  • Hands-on experience running paid social campaigns (X, Reddit)
  • Strong understanding of modern AI-native distribution (AEO, LLM discoverability, etc.)
  • Experience marketing to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong experimentation mindset and ability to move quickly
  • Excellent storytelling and positioning skills

This role is based in San Francisco with a lucrative salary paying up to $190,000 USD
