Is This Role For You?

For You If
  • You've closed 8+ years of complex, high-value B2B deals—ideally in marketing services, influencer marketing, or performance media
  • You thrive in a 'build' phase: you're equally comfortable carrying a personal quota and mentoring junior sellers
  • You understand influencer marketing or creator economy dynamics—or can learn them fast and speak credibly to enterprise CMOs
  • You're metrics-obsessed: you live in CRM, forecast with discipline, and tie everything back to revenue impact
Won't Work If
  • You need a large, established sales team immediately—this is a 1-2 person function you're building from scratch
  • You're uncomfortable with complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles and RFP-driven deals
  • You haven't carried a personal quota as a VP or haven't worked in performance-driven B2B sales—this role requires both

Interview Process

1

Screening Call

Recruiter or GM explores your background in complex deal sales, influencer marketing exposure, and appetite for a build-phase VP role.

2

Sales Case & Deal Review

Walk through 2-3 largest deals you've closed: discovery process, stakeholders, pricing strategy, negotiation, and how you'd approach similar creator marketing deals.

3

GM / Leadership Conversation

Deep dive on sales strategy, ICP definition, outbound motion design, forecasting rigor, and how you'd structure the team as it grows. Expect questions on creator/influencer marketing knowledge.

4

Cross-Functional Panel

Brief conversations with marketing, ops, or account leadership to assess fit on collaboration and ability to understand end-to-end client success.
