The Challenge
Ad's up Consulting is building out their new GEO (Generative Experience Optimization) unit launched in 2025 to future-proof SEO in the age of AI and answer engines. You'll co-lead this high-growth pod (5 experts now, scaling fast) and define the operational playbook, quality standards, and commercial offering from day one.
Your Mission
Take ownership of team operations: establish rituals, workload planning, and technical upskilling roadmap for 5+ consultants
Audit and document current processes; implement first batch of standardized deliverables and quality gates
Own 2-3 premium client accounts end-to-end; design strategies blending core SEO + AI/generative search opportunities
Immerse in Ad's up's 'Global Search' vision; present findings and early wins to leadership
Drive measurable improvements: track rentability per consultant, client satisfaction scores, and delivery cycle times
Lead cross-functional R&D project (GSO, search social, LLM integration); transform insights into sellable product features
Secure new budget/client wins by positioning GEO methodology in pre-sales and strategic audits
Scale team to 7-8 experts with clear role frameworks and promotion paths; mentorship embedded in daily ops

Track billable hours per consultant and margin per engagement to optimize team capacity and profitability.
Client Satisfaction & Retention
NPS or satisfaction score for accounts you directly oversee; target zero churn on premium portfolio.
New Business Contribution
Revenue from deals closed where you led strategy/audit phase; measure impact of GEO positioning.
R&D-to-Production Velocity
Time from innovation lab to live client deployment; track adoption rate of new methodologies.

- You have 5+ years hands-on SEO (technical, content, netlinking) and already integrate AI/LLMs into your workflow
- You've managed or mentored SEO experts and enjoy building processes, not just executing tactics

- You're curious about emerging search (SGE, Perplexity, social search) and want to shape an agency's POV on it
- You want to split time between client strategy, team leadership, and innovation—not just heads-down execution
- You're looking for a solo IC role; this requires genuine people leadership and organizational ownership
- You need a fully remote setup with zero office days (hybrid is the deal, Paris 11e is the hub)
- You've never managed anyone or aren't excited by hiring, mentoring, and process-building
- You want stability and clear hierarchy; early-stage scaling pods are messy and require autonomy + ambiguity tolerance

Meet the Head of GEO
Deep dive on vision, strategic priorities, and collaboration style. They'll assess fit for co-leadership model.
Final round with leadership
Interview with Head of Consulting or Group lead to align on growth roadmap and culture fit.
