The Challenge
TRANZACT is a 3,000+ person D2C insurance powerhouse moving 3M+ contacts through Medicare and Life insurance journeys. You'll own the entire CRM strategy across 20+ brands—building the email and SMS engine that drives customer acquisition and retention at scale.
Your Mission
Audit current email/SMS performance across all 20+ brands; identify top 3 quick wins and implement testing framework
Establish clear deliverability, QA, and approval SOPs; document and train your CRM team on new standards
Map full customer journey for Medicare Advantage line; design 2-3 new automation sequences for nurture and cross-sell
Align with Product, Marketing, and Sales leadership on Q2 CRM roadmap; secure sign-off on resource plan
Launch 5+ new cross-sell campaign automations; measure lift in secondary product adoption by 15%+
Reduce campaign time-to-launch by 25% through process optimization and team scaling
Achieve industry-benchmark email open rates (6%+) and SMS conversion rates (3%+) across key segments
Build predictive segmentation model for personalization; test dynamic content on 3 high-volume journeys

Target 6%+ open rates; signals list health, subject line effectiveness, and send-time optimization.
SMS Conversion Rate
Track clicks and policy submissions; SMS typically converts 3-5x higher than email in insurance.
Cost Per Acquisition (CPA) by Channel
Monitor email and SMS CPA vs. paid channels; prove organic CRM ROI to leadership.
Unsubscribe/Complaint Rate
Keep complaint rate <0.1%; rising complaints signal poor segmentation or regulatory compliance risk.
Campaign Velocity (Time-to-Launch)
Measure days from brief to send; improvements free up team capacity for strategic work.

- You're analytical but not paralyzed; you ship experiments quickly, measure ruthlessly, and iterate based on data
- You want full remote work; this is on-site in Raleigh-Durham
- You lack direct people management experience or are uncomfortable coaching and holding a team accountable
- You've only worked in consumer-friendly verticals; insurance regulations and carrier approval cycles will feel slow

Deep Dive Case Study (60 min)
Walk through a past campaign you owned: brief, audience, strategy, results, learnings. Be ready to defend metrics.

Conversation with cross-functional peers (Product, Sales, or Compliance) to assess collaboration and regulatory awareness.
Final: Leadership Panel (60 min)
Meet with VP/Director-level; discuss vision for CRM roadmap and how you'd scale the team.
