Accountabilities:
The Director, CRM will lead the strategy, optimization, and execution of customer relationship marketing initiatives across multiple consumer brands. This role requires ownership of lifecycle marketing programs, CRM platforms, performance analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to maximize customer engagement and revenue growth.
Own and evolve CRM strategy across multiple brands, ensuring each program reflects unique customer segments while maintaining scalable portfolio-wide standards.
Lead lifecycle marketing initiatives across email and SMS channels, developing strategies that improve engagement, conversion, retention, and customer lifetime value.
Oversee CRM campaign calendars, segmentation strategies, and promotional planning while providing guidance to marketing team members responsible for execution.
Build and manage a comprehensive testing roadmap, analyzing results and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
Use customer data, behavioral insights, and personalization strategies to optimize customer journeys and improve marketing effectiveness.
Design and evaluate performance analyses across weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting cycles to measure progress against business goals.
Manage CRM technology platforms, including email and SMS solutions, ensuring platform health, scalability, and effective usage.
Monitor campaign volume, platform costs, and operational efficiency while identifying opportunities for optimization.
Partner with teams across brand marketing, analytics, creative, product, growth, and customer experience to align CRM initiatives with broader business objectives.
Stay current on CRM trends, emerging technologies, and industry best practices to continuously enhance marketing capabilities.
Lead, coach, and develop a CRM team, supporting career growth, performance improvement, and long-term success.
Requirements: The ideal candidate is an experienced CRM and lifecycle marketing leader with a strong background in e-commerce, data-driven marketing, and multi-channel customer engagement. This role requires a combination of analytical thinking, technical understanding, creative strategy, and strong leadership skills.
6+ years of experience in email and SMS marketing within e-commerce or direct-to-consumer environments.
Experience managing CRM programs across multiple brands, business units, or customer segments.
Previous experience leading and developing a marketing team.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large datasets, identify trends, uncover insights, and recommend strategic actions.
Proven ability to design marketing experiments, analyze results, and define next steps using a structured testing approach.
Strong understanding of segmentation, personalization, behavioral targeting, and lifecycle marketing strategies.
Experience with analytics tools such as Looker or similar platforms.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
Experience with email development and familiarity with HTML for email campaigns.
Knowledge of email marketing best practices, deliverability standards, and CAN-SPAM regulations.
Experience managing CRM platforms such as Klaviyo and/or Attentive is a plus.
Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Comfortable collaborating within distributed and remote teams.
