The Challenge

EōS Fitness operates 225+ gym locations nationwide and needs someone to architect their customer lifecycle strategy. You'll own end-to-end email, SMS, and push campaigns—building automated journeys that turn gym members into lifelong fans using Klaviyo, data-driven testing, and cross-functional collaboration.

Your Mission

First 3 Months
1

Audit current Klaviyo workflows and lifecycle campaigns, identifying optimization gaps and quick wins in segmentation and personalization

Establish baseline KPI dashboard in Excel/Google Analytics tracking email open rates, SMS engagement, push conversion, and revenue attribution

Execute 3-5 A/B tests on subject lines, send times, and creative to establish testing playbook and immediate performance wins

4

Map cross-functional touchpoints with Sales, Creative, and Customer Service teams to align messaging and eliminate campaign friction

By 6 Months
1

Design and deploy 2-3 new automated customer journeys (welcome, re-engagement, VIP retention) expected to lift lifetime value by 15%+

Build comprehensive lifecycle reporting cadence—monthly performance decks with cohort analysis and channel-specific ROI by gym location

3

Scale A/B testing program to multivariate tests; implement learnings across channels to optimize conversion and reduce churn

4

Lead cross-departmental initiative defining new lifecycle KPIs and success metrics tied to company's 'loyal, lifelong fans' core purpose

KPIs You'll Own

Email Open Rate & Click-Through Rate

Baseline and optimize email campaign engagement, targeting 25%+ open rate and 3%+ CTR through subject line and send-time testing.

Campaign Revenue Attribution

Track incremental revenue driven by lifecycle campaigns across email, SMS, and push using platform-level reporting and Google Analytics.

Customer Lifetime Value (CLV) by Cohort

Measure retention and repeat purchase value for members acquired through or nurtured by lifecycle campaigns vs. control groups.

SMS Conversion Rate & Opt-In Rate

Monitor SMS engagement and list growth while ensuring compliance and maintaining brand messaging consistency.

Churn Rate by Segment

Identify at-risk member segments and measure effectiveness of re-engagement campaigns in reducing cancellations.

Is This Role For You?

For You If
  • You've spent 4+ years in email marketing automation, lifecycle campaigns, or CRM strategy—Klaviyo experience is table stakes
  • You're fluent in Excel for reporting and analysis; you can pivot data and build dashboards without breaking a sweat
  • You're obsessed with A/B testing, segmentation strategy, and data-driven optimization—not guessing
  • You thrive in fast-paced, cross-functional environments where you can problem-solve independently and own campaigns end-to-end
  • You actually give a damn about fitness or have genuine passion for the health/wellness space
Won't Work If
  • You've never touched Klaviyo or comparable email automation platforms—this role assumes you can hit the ground running on platform logic
  • You're Excel-phobic or uncomfortable building reports and dashboards in spreadsheets
  • You need hand-holding or detailed direction on every task; you can't prioritize and problem-solve independently in a high-velocity environment
  • You're purely creative-focused and uncomfortable with data, metrics, and analytical work

Phone conversation with recruiter covering background, Klaviyo experience, and Excel proficiency

Conversation with Director of Marketing, Lifecycle on campaign strategy, cross-functional collaboration, and approach to lifecycle optimization

Walk through past email campaigns, A/B test results, reporting dashboards, or lifecycle strategies you've built

Conversation with broader marketing/digital team members to assess collaboration style, sense of humor, and alignment with EōS culture
