Your Role And Responsibilities
Hakkoda is looking for a
Head of Events & Field Marketing
to lead our strategic event presence and partner-driven go-to-market initiatives. In this role, you’ll own Hakkoda’s event strategy—across industry conferences, field events, executive summits, and webinars—and drive integrated events with our top partners, including Snowflake, Sigma, Fivetran, Coalesce, Atlan, and others.This role sits at the intersection of brand, pipeline, and partner growth. You’ll be responsible for designing high-impact experiences, strengthening key alliances, and working across teams to translate event and partner momentum into business results.
What You’ll Do
- Lead end-to-end event marketing strategy and execution for Hakkoda’s presence at industry conferences, partner events, regional field events, and executive experiences
- Act as a supportive point of contact for all event-related topics with Snowflake, Hakkoda’s most important strategic partner
- Own Hakkoda’s event marketing KPIs, goals, and initiatives, growing relationships with key industry partners and identifying new opportunities for ROI driving events
- Support relationships with your Hakkoda marketing peers as well as our Sales and Industry teams to enable collaboration with our collective customers and prospects though shared go-to-market planning
- Research, plan and maintain a marketing calendar of events including 3rd party industry conferences, partner-driven live events series, webinars and regional field events
- Manage logistics and execution of all planned events, working with outside vendors to oversee fulfillment/inventory levels, manage events’ sales staffing
- Work cross functionally with Snowflake field sales staff and Hakkoda internal teams (Sales, Sales Operations, Legal, Finance, Marketing, Product, etc.) to support achievement of event goals and objectives
- Maintain direct alignment with Sales & Marketing teams in terms of all pre and post event communication, marketing-driven campaigns, and event promotion strategy. Manage internal field events communication between Sales and Marketing
- Evaluate all campaigns’ impact & ROI to determine the success and forecast for potential future investment
- Work with Hakkoda Sales and Marketing leadership to plan and execute annual strategic plans and target metrics for Snowflake and our top tier partners
- As of April 2025, Hakkoda has been acquired by IBM and will be integrated in the IBM organization. Your recruitment process will be managed by IBM. IBM will be the hiring entity
Preferred Education
Bachelor's Degree
Required Technical And Professional Expertise
- 8+ years experience in B2B event marketing, partner marketing, or field marketing
- Proven success managing partner-driven co-marketing programs
- Track record of executing standout events that drive brand awareness and sales engagement
- Strong cross-functional skills and the ability to work fluidly across Sales, Marketing, and Partnerships
- Excellent project management and communication skills, with a strong eye for detail
- High initiative, self-direction, and comfort working in fast-paced, high-growth environments. This role will need to straddle thoughtful strategy and hands-on-execution
- Willingness to travel
- Deep understanding of cloud ecosystems; Snowflake and/or Databricks ecosystem experience is a plus
- Consulting industry experience
- Past roles managing event programs in a high-growth, partner driven revenue motion
