What you'll do
This is a zero-to-one lifecycle role for someone who can turn early SMB advertiser interest into campaigns, repeat spend, and lasting growth. You’ll set the playbook and do the work to prove what moves customers.
What the role really is
You own the journey from first interest through activation, retention, reactivation, and expansion. That means building the strategy, designing the programs, and measuring whether they change customer behavior.
What you'll do
- Own lifecycle programs for prospect conversion, first campaigns, retention, repeat spend, reactivation, and expansion.
- Use cohort analysis, product behavior, campaign performance, and customer feedback to spot opportunities.
- Build segmented, triggered journeys that match messages and next steps to advertiser needs and behavior.
- Lead prospect nurture and email acquisition, coordinating audiences and conversion experiences with Growth Marketing.
- Create onboarding and education programs that help advertisers launch campaigns, understand results, adopt capabilities, and grow investment.
- Coordinate email, in-product and onsite experiences, retargeting, education, and sales engagement.
- Test audiences, messages, channels, timing, frequency, and offers. Use holdouts and downstream results to measure incremental impact.
- Work with Data Science, Marketing Operations, prospect intelligence, and Ads Engineering on signals, segmentation, automation, and measurement.
- Improve activation, time to first campaign, retention, repeat spend, reactivation, and expansion. Scale what works, and use AI to speed up content, personalization, and analysis.
What they want
- A record of building lifecycle programs from strategy through execution, with measurable activation, retention, or customer growth results.
- Strong customer judgment, clear communication, and disciplined prioritization.
- Experience with behavioral segmentation and triggered, multichannel programs.
- Skill in cohort analysis, funnel diagnostics, retention measurement, and experimental design.
- Hands-on experience with CRM and marketing automation platforms such as Marketo or comparable tools, including journey logic, personalization, and quality checks.
- Cross-functional leadership with Product, Engineering, Data Science, Sales, and Marketing Operations.
- Comfort setting strategy and launching programs in a fast-moving environment while building repeatable processes and reliable measurement.
- Experience with SMBs, self-serve products, advertising, SaaS, marketplaces, fintech, or other high-volume customer journeys.
- Thoughtful use of AI to improve personalization and execution.
Why it's interesting
You’re building the lifecycle system while the advertising opportunity is still taking shape. You’ll work across product, engineering, data science, and sales, and connect customer insight to experiments that can guide how SMB advertisers get started and grow.
