What you'll do

Wpromote needs someone who can turn agency media spend into better client value and stronger commercial terms. This is a hands-on investment role for a sharp negotiator who can build the systems behind the deals.

What the role really is

You’ll own the day-to-day media investment function, initially as an individual contributor. That means shaping agreements with media partners, then making sure the commitments are activated, tracked, reconciled, and worth what the agency and its clients expect.

The real test is moving between deal strategy and operational detail. You’ll need to make complex agreements clear enough for teams across Media, Finance, Legal, Sales, Partnerships, and Commercial Strategy to act on them.

What you'll do

  • Build investment strategies with priority media partners, including joint business plans, upfronts, incentives, and commercial agreements.
  • Recommend investment and negotiation approaches using spend, forecasts, client needs, past performance, and market conditions.
  • Run agreements from negotiation through activation, pacing, reconciliation, and value realization.
  • Create clear plans, owners, controls, and reporting for partner commitments, risks, and earned or deployed value.
  • Work with Finance, Legal, Commercial Strategy, and Revenue Operations on documentation, invoicing, reconciliation, and recognition.
  • Support priority pitches and RFPs under $50 million with media exercises, commercial analysis, and investment recommendations.
  • Build scalable reporting, documentation, tools, and operating standards for the investment function.
  • Improve automation and AI use in reporting, forecasting, pacing, reconciliation, and opportunity identification.
  • Set metrics that connect investment activity to client value, partner performance, revenue, profitability, and realized value.
  • Build relationships across the media ecosystem, advise colleagues on investment strategy and partner economics, and mentor teammates.
  • Help grow the function, with potential future responsibility for hiring and managing team members.

What they want

  • 6 to 8 years in media investment, media buying, agency commercial strategy, or a related field, ideally at a major agency, holding company, or scaled independent agency.
  • Experience managing significant media investment across channels. Linear TV, CTV, and streaming experience is especially valued.
  • A track record negotiating and managing upfronts, joint business plans, spend commitments, incentives, and commercial agreements through reconciliation.
  • Knowledge of traditional investment and the changing media landscape, including programmatic, major platforms, retail media, and emerging channels.
  • A strong grasp of forecasting, commitments, incentives, rebates, credits, added value, makegoods, margin impact, and value realization.
  • Financial and analytical judgment that turns investment data into recommendations and decisions senior leaders can use.
  • Experience building processes, reporting, systems, and controls for a growing investment function.
  • Strong program management, communication, and presentation skills, with the judgment to bring structure to complex work and influence across teams.
  • Comfort leading strategically while staying close to execution in a matrixed organization.
  • Experience mentoring colleagues and developing team members as the function grows.
  • Established relationships with media owners, platforms, or advertisers are a plus.

Why it's interesting

This is a chance to shape a centralized investment function while it is still being built. You’ll have room to set how deals are tracked and managed, and to connect partner economics to client value and agency results. If you like negotiating and also want to see the agreement through to the numbers, this role has both.
