The Challenge
TikTok is scaling its Solutions Engineering team to help agencies and partners unlock growth on the platform. You'll bridge technical and business worlds—architecting integrations, owning partner success, and shaping the API roadmap that powers the next generation of ad tech on TikTok.
Your Mission
Onboard 3-5 key strategic partners; build deep technical relationships and identify their core pain points with TikTok's current platform
Master TikTok's API surface, ad capabilities, and partner offerings—become the go-to technical expert for your assigned partner cohort
Ship 1-2 integration guides or technical trainings that unlock new use cases for partners
Document and escalate 5+ API improvement requests to product teams based on partner feedback
Grow partner cohort to 8-12 active relationships with measurable engagement (demos, integrations, revenue impact)
Launch 2-3 end-to-end integrations in collaboration with Ads product engineering; track adoption and partner NPS
Become subject matter expert on ad tech trends and competitive positioning; influence 1-2 major product roadmap decisions
Build repeatable playbooks for partner onboarding, technical enablement, and go-to-market that scale the team's impact
KPIs You'll Own
Partner Technical Engagement
Number of active integrations shipped, API calls processed, and partner-initiated technical consultations per quarter.
Partner NPS & Retention
Net Promoter Score from partner feedback and quarter-over-quarter retention rate of assigned partner relationships.
Product Advocacy Impact
Number of API improvement requests escalated and shipped; correlation between requests and partner revenue growth.
Time-to-Integration
Average time from partner request to production integration; goal is to reduce friction and accelerate partner go-live.

- You're looking for pure software engineering—this role is 50% technical, 50% relationship/enablement work
- You need remote flexibility; this is on-site in NYC with cross-functional in-person collaboration
- You have no experience with APIs, backend systems, or advertising technology; the learning curve is steep
