What you'll do

Africa is the job. You’ll own the partnerships that shape how TaptapSend operates across the region, with real time spent on the ground and room to make the commercial calls.

What the role really is

You’re the senior relationship owner for TaptapSend in Africa. You’ll keep current partners close, find new ones, and carry deals from the first conversation through launch. You’ll also be the region’s voice inside the company and its face with regulators and policy makers.

What you'll do

  • Own relationships with existing partners across Africa.
  • Find new partners and stakeholders, build relationships, negotiate deals, and see them through to go-live.
  • Work with regulators and policy makers, representing TaptapSend with competence and confidence.
  • Track, analyze, and report on key market metrics.
  • Share best practices with the Growth team.
  • Work with Product, Ops, Business Development, and Engineering to shape the product offering for the region.

What they want

  • Around 10 or more years in high-performing, fast-paced settings such as tech, professional services, or finance.
  • A clear instinct for commercial deal-making.
  • Experience working with regulators and policy makers in Africa.
  • Significant ties to Africa.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Willingness to handle small tasks and gritty details to get things done.
  • Fluency in another language, such as French, is a plus.
  • Financial services, fintech, or payments experience is a plus.

Why it's interesting

TaptapSend moves money across borders and is building more services for diaspora communities, including local cards and additional savings and payments features. The role combines commercial ownership with the chance to influence how the product serves African markets.
