What you'll do

Why This Role Exists

At its core, On Me is an affiliate business. We operate in the gifting and gift card space, one of the largest and most underdigitized sectors in consumer commerce, but everything downstream runs on affiliate. Every brand on our platform is an affiliate relationship. Every dollar of revenue flows through the affiliate model. The gifting product is how consumers engage; affiliate partnerships are the engine that powers it.

We've hit 90x YoY volume growth and we need a world-class affiliate operator to own the brand network, drive 360 reporting that keeps partners sticky, and close deals at volume. This is a pure affiliate partnerships role, senior in scope, with a direct line to the CEO.

What You'll Work On Mandate 1, Own the Affiliate Brand Network (Primary Focus)

Your core job is building and owning On Me's affiliate partner network:

  • Identify, prospect, and activate affiliate partnerships with consumer brands across fashion, fitness, wellness, gaming, outdoor, beauty, dining, and more, across CJ, Impact, Rakuten, Awin, and direct

Run high-touch outreach at scale, building a deep pipeline of affiliate partners who belong on the On Me marketplace

Become the face of On Me in the affiliate ecosystem: own Affiliate Summit, industry events, publisher events; turn first conversations into live affiliate programs

Bring (and expand) a deep Rolodex of affiliate managers, brand decision-makers, and network contacts

Mandate 2, 360 Reporting & Affiliate Enablement

  • Own the 360 reporting process end-to-end, showing affiliate partners the full performance picture of what On Me drives for them
  • Build the data stories, decks, and case studies that make the affiliate pitch undeniable and keep partners expanding their programs

Create a repeatable feedback loop between affiliate partners and our product team, surfacing what brands need from our reporting stack and what moves them from pilot to full program

Mandate 3, Bring Brands onto the Affiliate Model

Own the conversation with brands and affiliate managers about what On Me is and why they should activate with us

Articulate the model clearly: On Me is a gifting marketplace, brands plug in via affiliate, earn on every gift redemption, and reach a highly engaged gifting audience across 72+ interest categories

Be fluent in how affiliate programs work end-to-end, tracking, commissions, network integrations, S2S, and how to get a brand live fast, and credible enough that affiliate teams trust you immediately

Mandate 4, Drive Deals Over the Line

  • Negotiate and structure contracts: revenue shares, exclusive pricing, co-marketing commitments, data-sharing agreements, and performance-based terms
  • Drive deal velocity and own the close, your success is measured in partnerships signed and dollars driven, not decks delivered

Develop co-marketing and activation campaigns that drive mutual growth after the signature

Mandate 5, Build & Lead the Team

Start as a hands-on operator closing deals yourself, then build the playbook, processes, and tiers that scale the function

You'll report directly to the CEO and will be on a clear leadership track, with a path toward leadership as you grow the function and the team around you

What We're Looking For

4+ years in strategic partnerships, business development, affiliate/publisher development, or sales, ideally touching the gift card, payments, fintech, rewards, or affiliate ecosystem

Deep relationships and networking instincts, you know how to open doors with consumer brands and you build trust fast

Affiliate fluency, you understand affiliate/performance marketing and how to bring a new model to it (experience with CJ, Impact, Rakuten, or similar a strong plus)

Technically savvy, you can speak to APIs, payments rails, data, and reporting with confidence

Contract negotiation expertise, you've structured revenue shares, exclusivity, and performance-based deals

Vision seller, you can take an early-stage story and make brands believe in the future

Founder mindset, scrappy, driven, resourceful; you build processes from scratch and thrive in ambiguity

Leadership-track, you can do the job yourself today and grow into leading a team

Located in SF or willing to travel regularly; this role is relationship-driven and benefits from in-person

Nice to Have

Experience in affiliate/performance marketing or publisher development at a network or agency

Familiarity with card-linked offers (CLO), Mastercard/Visa rails, and open-loop/closed-loop programs

Experience selling into or partnering with consumer brands at scale

Experience building a partnerships team from zero

What We Offer

Total Compensation

Base salary: $100K-$150K depending on experience

On-target earnings (OTE): $165K-$180K (base + performance commission)

Equity: 0.20%-0.50% of On Me depending on experience, vesting over 4 years with a 1-year cliff

Everything Else

A fast-moving, founder-led team with a track record of building great products (ex-Google, Apple, Stripe)

A beautiful office in San Francisco's FiDi (plus Downtown NYC), with 3 in-person days each week

Paid gym access in SF, full health benefits, and unlimited PTO (that people actually use)

The chance to own the affiliate engine at a breakout consumer startup backed by NFX, Lerer Hippeau, Focal, and Mastercard

Who You'll Work With

You'll join a small, elite team of builders from Google, Apple, Stripe, Square, and Capital One who move fast and care deeply about product quality:

Darragh Meaney, CEO, ex-Google (Ads & YouTube)

Sitar Harel, CTO, ex-Google (Maps & Photos), Cornell

Daniel Li, Founding Engineer, 5+ years at Apple, Cornell App Dev

Neil Shankar, Founding Designer, ex-Google, ex-Block (Square), UC Berkeley

Anya Hargil, Senior Software Engineer, ex-Stripe (card network integrations), Princeton CS

Thais Terrien, Head of Customer Operations, ex-Capital One engineer, startup founder (Doce)

Cody Worrell, Growth Partnerships Lead, ex-Bilt Rewards, ex-Barkbus, 0 1 partnerships operator

Kaity Hammerstein, Brand Designer, ex-Square, ex-Dribbble, UC Cincinnati DAAP

We combine big-tech craft with startup speed, and we're just getting started.

About On Me

Gifting is hard in the modern age. Gift cards are everywhere, but they're often impersonal, cumbersome, and stuck in the past. At On Me, we're on a mission to change that. With $8M raised, including a $6M seed round led by NFX (Pete Flint), with participation from Lerer Hippeau and Focal, we're bringing a fresh approach to the $2.3 trillion global gift card market. Our product lets you create personalized digital gifts across 72+ interest categories, redeemable across multiple brands and easily added to Apple Pay or Google Wallet.

Since our launch, we've been featured in TechCrunch, Fortune, Axios, Pymnts.com, and The Wall Street Journal. We've hit a hockey-stick growth curve, and we need a partnerships leader to help us scale.

On Me runs on affiliate. This is the role that owns that engine.

On Me is where real gifts meet real people.
