What you'll do
The real job is turning segment strategy into pipeline, then proving where the funnel sticks. You’ll do well if you can set direction, get a crowded group moving, and stay close to the numbers.
What the role really is
You own demand generation for a focused market segment. That means choosing priorities, building full-funnel campaigns, and coordinating the people who make them run. BDR outreach has to fit the campaign from the start, not get bolted on at the end.
What you'll do
- Set segment priorities, integrated plans, and campaign sequence.
- Build programs across awareness, nurture, conversion, and pipeline acceleration.
- Write briefs that give teams clear goals, audiences, messaging, and plans.
- Coordinate with Product Marketing, BDR leadership, Digital, RevOps, Marketing Operations, Creative, and channel specialists.
- Work with Marketing Operations on targeting, suppression, nurture, and buyer progression.
- Align BDR outreach with campaign messaging, buyer signals, and timing.
- Track campaign and funnel volume, velocity, conversion, and progression to pipeline.
- Test and improve messaging, offers, journeys, channel mix, targeting, and handoffs.
- Support quarterly planning and investment recommendations with performance data.
- Turn the data into clear recommendations for stakeholders and senior marketing leaders.
What they want
- 6 to 10 years in B2B demand generation, integrated marketing, or campaign strategy.
- A track record building full-funnel, multi-channel campaigns in enterprise or complex B2B settings.
- Experience aligning BDR or SDR outreach with campaign strategy and conversion goals.
- Skill managing several campaign workstreams across matrixed teams.
- Experience using campaign, audience, and funnel data to shape plans and improve results.
- Experience partnering with Marketing Operations on measurement, automation, segmentation, and forecasting.
- Experience working with digital and channel specialists on traffic quality and conversion.
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical judgment, and clear writing and presentation skills.
- Confidence presenting plans and results to senior leaders.
- Ability to build alignment without direct authority, even as priorities and processes shift.
- Curiosity and judgment in using AI and automation to improve campaign performance.
- Familiarity with Salesforce, Marketo, Demandbase, People.ai, Outreach, or equivalent platforms.
- SaaS, supply chain, logistics, retail technology, or related enterprise technology experience is preferred.
Why it's interesting
This role owns both the strategy and the operating model for a segment. You get to connect channels, BDR activation, and funnel data into one system, then use what you learn to change the next campaign.
