The Challenge

Xsolla is the operating system for game commerce-powering 1,500+ developers globally. You'll own end-to-end lifecycle marketing for their Partner Network and Lightstream, building Braze from the ground up as the platform's primary operator and internal expert.

Your Mission

First 3 Months
1

Audit and document existing Braze instance; establish clean segmentation logic, naming conventions, and canvas architecture for both verticals

2

Design and launch welcome/onboarding journeys for Xsolla Partner Network and Lightstream with baseline engagement KPIs tracked

3

Develop a segmentation framework using behavioural, consent, and engagement data; identify and prioritize first high-value cohorts

4

Establish IP warming and deliverability monitoring protocol; audit sender reputation and set corrective action thresholds

By 6 Months
1

Execute 8+ multi-step lifecycle campaigns (welcome, nurture, re-engagement, seasonal) across both verticals with documented performance

2

Build and own a rolling CRM calendar; coordinate promotional and transactional email programmes with product and marketing teams

3

Implement 1:1 personalization strategy reflecting user behaviour, creator tier, regional context, and engagement history

4

Serve as Braze SME for cross-functional stakeholders; document platform capabilities and roadmap for expansion into other Xsolla verticals

KPIs You'll Own

Email Engagement Rate (Open, Click, Conversion)

Track baseline and lift across lifecycle journeys; target 25%+ open rate, 5%+ CTR for engaged segments

Sender Reputation & Deliverability

Monitor bounce rates (<2%), spam complaints (<0.1%), and inbox placement; proactively adjust IP warming and list hygiene

Creator/Player Retention by Cohort

Measure impact of lifecycle campaigns on partner retention and player reactivation; track month-over-month churn reduction

Braze Platform Health

Audit segment accuracy, canvas performance, and documentation completeness quarterly; track cost per send and segmentation efficiency

Is This Role For You?

For You If
  • You're Braze-certified or deeply proficient in the platform; you live and breathe lifecycle marketing craft
  • You own strategy *and* execution-no hiding behind 'coordination'; you build without needing dev handholding
  • You love data: segmentation, personalization, and measurable impact drive your decision-making
  • You thrive in ambiguity; this role builds CRM from scratch across two distinct verticals with competing needs
Won't Work If
  • You prefer coordinator role or campaign management only; this demands strategic ownership and platform mastery
  • You lack hands-on Braze (or equivalent CDP) experience; you'll struggle with day-one independence
  • You're remote-first; this role is on-site in Los Angeles
  • You need heavy process/governance; Xsolla expects you to define it yourself

Interview Process

1

Initial Screen

Confirm Braze expertise, CRM strategy experience, and on-site availability

2

Braze Case Study

Walk through a lifecycle campaign you've owned end-to-end; discuss segmentation, personalization, and performance

3

Strategy Deep-Dive

VP of Marketing discusses CRM roadmap vision, cross-functional collaboration, and how you'd approach two distinct verticals

4

Cross-Functional Panel

Meet product and data stakeholders; discuss how you'd translate their needs into Braze journeys
