What you'll do
A membership only works if people keep finding reasons to use it. This role owns the marketing behind those reasons, and the growth and retention numbers that follow.
What the role really is
You’ll set the marketing direction for DashPass across email, push, SMS, promotions, and in-app messaging. The job is to turn subscriber growth and retention goals into relevant campaigns, then prove what’s working.
You’ll lead the Retention Marketers doing that work and align the plan with teams across DoorDash.
What you'll do
- Own campaigns across the DashPass lifecycle, building a cohesive, personalized customer journey.
- Set annual and quarterly retention plans tied to audience goals.
- Lead and coach a team of Retention Marketers.
- Set the CRM testing roadmap, including messaging, audience segments, and measurement plans.
- Work with Analytics to improve personalization and define how campaigns are measured.
- Partner with Analytics, Product, Integrated Marketing, and Strategy & Operations on growth initiatives.
- Use data to set segment KPIs, spot trends, and improve marketing programs.
- Work with MarTech, Product, and Operations to improve CRM platforms, customer models, and campaign measurement.
What they want
- 8+ years in lifecycle, CRM, or growth marketing, including 3+ years managing teams. Experience managing managers is a plus.
- A track record of business results from cross-channel campaigns.
- Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
- Hands-on experience with CRM technology, including ESPs, segmentation tools, and complex data systems.
- Working knowledge of SQL, Databricks, Sigma, and AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude for analysis, experimentation, and productivity.
- Strong organization, dependability, self-motivation, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Why it's interesting
This role connects day-to-day CRM decisions to subscriber retention, paid net adds, and incremental GOV. You’ll own the plan, the team, and the measurement behind a major membership lifecycle.
