The Challenge
Pennylane is a fast-growing fintech solving accounting and financial management for SMBs across Europe. You'll own the growth engine for a 201-500 person team, moving beyond vanity metrics to drive real revenue impact and customer expansion.
Your Mission
Map current growth funnel and identify top 2-3 conversion bottlenecks in acquisition, activation, and retention
Launch and optimize one new customer acquisition channel (paid, partnership, or organic) with clear CAC and payback metrics
Establish baseline KPIs for product-led growth loops and define experimentation roadmap
Build stakeholder alignment on growth strategy and secure budget/resources for 6-month experiments
Reduce CAC by 15-20% while maintaining or improving conversion rates across primary channels
Scale one high-performing acquisition channel to 30%+ of new MRR contribution
Implement advanced product analytics to track cohort retention and identify expansion revenue opportunities
Execute 8-12 growth experiments with documented learnings and implement top 3 winners into ops

Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC)
Track blended CAC across channels and work toward unit economics that support sustainable growth.
Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR) Growth
Measure new MRR added monthly and track contribution by channel and cohort.
Activation Rate
Percentage of signups completing core activation milestones within first 7 days.
Net Revenue Retention (NRR)
Track expansion and churn to understand true retained/expanding customer value.
Experiment Velocity
Number of validated growth experiments launched and impact-weighted results per month.
