What You’ll Do
- Bring Funko’s social media strategy to life; managing day to day operations across all platforms
- Plan and maintain a social content calendar including posts, campaigns, launches, and creator/influencer activations and launches
- Develop thoughtful, social-first marketing plans in support of broader Integrated Marketing initiatives and brand priorities
- Drive the development of social-first content to promote Funko and partner IP, interacting with consumers and optimizing based on performance
- Create and/or oversee creation of engaging content including short-form video, images, copy, and stories + live-posts from events, leaning into trends to drive relevance and engagement
- Identify, engage, and collaborate with influencers and content creators to expand reach, build credibility, and connect with new audiences
- Partner closely with influencer marketing teams to develop integrated campaigns that feel native to each creator’s audience and platform
- Source and manage creator relationships, including outreach, briefing, and performance tracking
- Consistently strategize ways to grow followers, increase engagement, and ultimately drive revenue for Funko per platform, ensuring commonality between them
- Partner with copywriting and social media counterparts to ensure all external communications and copy are on brand and edited
- Ensure coordination with the influencer team to evangelize Funko with new audiences
- Stay up to date on social media trends, platform updates, content creators and affiliates
- Analyze performance metrics and provide regular reporting and insights to optimize strategy
- Identify opportunities for viral moments, cultural relevance, and trend participation
- Track competitor activity and emerging platform trends.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or equivalent field preferred
- 5-7 years of experience managing social media for a brand or agency; background in consumer brands, entertainment, gaming or pop culture preferred.
- Expertise across social platforms (Instagram, FB, Twitter/X, TikTok, Snapchat, Pinterest, etc)
- Proven experience working influencers, creators, or talent—either directly or in partnership with influencer teams
- Experience using social analytics, publishing, and trend monitoring tools
- Experience creating short-form video content and using content editing tools (e.g., CapCut, Canva)
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to interpret analytics and adjust strategy.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Experience growing social channels and building engaged communities.
- Strong communication skills including ability to work in a team environment
- Passion for seeking trends and finding ways to be part of the social zeitgeist
- Meet deadlines, prioritize appropriately, cope well with change and maintain composure under pressure
- Is accountable for results, approaches obstacles proactively and looks for ways to resolve problems and issues
- Open to working nights and weekends, as needed, with a willingness to go above and beyond
- Ability to travel as needed
