What you'll do
Logs sit at the messy intersection of telemetry, cost, and scale. New Relic needs a product marketer who can explain that tradeoff to engineers, buyers, and sellers, then turn the story into launches and adoption.
What the role really is
You own how the market understands New Relic Logs. That means shaping the story from positioning through launches, sales enablement, and competitive differentiation. You need enough technical fluency to talk shop with engineers, and enough clarity to make the value click for customers and the field.
What you'll do
- Set and maintain Logs positioning and messaging across buyer personas and customer touchpoints.
- Lead launches from tiering and messaging through content, enablement, and launch metrics.
- Build sales decks, discovery questions, objection handling, and talk tracks, then drive field adoption.
- Develop technically accurate competitive messaging, battlecards, and displacement plays.
- Shape the pricing, packaging, retention, tiering, and cost-control narrative.
- Create solution briefs, blogs, webinars, demos, customer stories, and reference architectures grounded in customer outcomes.
- Bring customer, prospect, win/loss, market, and usage insights into product plans, messaging, and segment priorities.
- Represent Logs in customer briefings, field and executive readouts, analyst conversations, and industry events.
- Track pipeline contribution, attach and adoption rates, ingest growth, and enablement use.
What they want
- Four to six years in product marketing or a related go-to-market role in observability, ideally focused on logs, monitoring, or AIOps.
- A technical degree or equivalent hands-on experience, with enough knowledge of log analytics, retention, and tiering to work directly with Product and Engineering.
- Ownership of launches from positioning through enablement and post-launch measurement, with results you can discuss.
- Writing samples such as positioning frameworks, solution briefs, pitch decks, battlecards, or technical blogs that the field adopted.
- Clear writing and speaking, including the ability to explain technical capabilities to practitioners and executives.
- Strong cross-functional work with Product Management, Sales, Demand Generation, Enablement, Competitive Intelligence, and Analyst Relations.
- Comfort using product, pipeline, and market data to choose priorities and show impact.
- Experience with AI tools or agentic workflows is a plus.
Why it's interesting
You get to own the story for a strategic part of observability, where buyers are weighing data coverage against cost. The work spans technical depth, market narrative, launches, and field execution, with success measured in pipeline and adoption.
